[player_tooltip player_id='1263879' first='Mahliya' last='Reeder'] showed elite scoring instincts and creativity, and the young guard is in the conversation for MVP of the shootout. On one possession, she faked baseline, retreated, then re-attacked for a smooth floater off the glass—demonstrating advanced footwork and decision-making. Reeder has a respectable jumper, explosive first step, and exceptional feel for the game. Her scoring ability and quickness make her a tough cover and one of the most polished offensive players in the gym. She was even better in transition with her ability to finish with a large degree of difficulty and craftiness. Reeder is a player who needs to be on the radar. She is a special talent.

Martin [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] ([program_tooltip program_id='715943' first='Southeast' last='United']). Played well at the Shootout. Martin showed that she is an offensive weapon with excellent ball control and shot making ability. Davis can score from the three point arc, and can beat a defender going left or right to the rim. She was really good at using the left in transitional play. Davis shows a natural feel for the game and makes plays all over the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263990' first='Emari' last='Brown'] played some impressive ball and alslo delivered arguably the most athletic plays in the tournament. On one play, Brown jumps over press row with coaches in their seats. Some say she picked up three offers on that feat alone. On the court, Brown was equally exciting. She blocked one shot with 2 hands and almost snagged the ball our of the air in one motion. Evans applied high-level on-ball pressure and displayed gritty defense in the paint. At 5'11, she's ran the point and initiated the offense, she lead most of the fast break attempts, and was a force on the offensive and defensive end of the court. Brown showcased a nice shooting touch with great elevation.

[player_tooltip player_id='933334' first='Shelby' last='Gaines'] was a standout player at the Wildcat Shootout and continued to build off of the momentum from travel ball and her performance at the FABC Showcase. Gaines put in a 19 point performance at the Wildcat Showcase, showcasing her all around versatile game. Gaines can get to the rim and score and get to the freethrow line as well. Defensively, Gaines was all over the guards creating havoc at the top of the defense. Gaines did what she does best, turning steals and pressure into layups on the other end.

[player_tooltip player_id='926495' first='Lea'nah' last='Parrish'] is a long, skilled wing with a smooth offensive game. At the Wildcat Shootout, Parrish showed the ability to get to the rim, finish in transition, and knock down the outside shot. First, there is the step back mid-range jumper that Parrish connected on, and then the smooth stroke behind the three point line. Parrish shot the three ball consistently the few games I saw her play. Parrish also ran the floor well and used her length to create separation and clean look. Parrish is a multi-level scoring threat who really impressed a lot of coaches in the building.
