Young Talents Making Waves in High-Level Competition

A lot of girls were in good form to compete at a high level. You could tell they had been working hard this offseason and put in the work either with a trainer or their AAU program. To come out and showcase their skill set, you too would have been impressed if you were in the audience.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If a young lady has a desire to play at the next level, it can happen. Neither a high school coach nor I can say what level they will end up on. It's not our job, however, with me stating that, there were a lot of prospects in the building. Thrown into the fire last season, she got a great taste of what life is like in the D2-II division. Add in her EYBL experience this summer, and this young prospect is clicking on all cylinders. Isa can score from multiple spots on the floor, but it's her defensive aggressiveness that really sets the tone for her ball club. She is all over the place, and her length really causes problems. She is a heady floor general who can make timeless passes and, of course, score the rock. She has great court vision and can process things prior to it happening. She was getting her teammates open looks as well as getting to the rim with ease. I loved how she was communicating on both ends of the floor, getting teammates in correct positions, and really was putting her fingerprints on the game. She is out to prove her worth and help lead the Lady Mustangs back to state contention. A two-way player who can fill it up from all three levels. She has a bag on her and she is quick to get in it, especially in transition. Has a deadly punch step, and when she gets her opponents on their heels, it's over for them. She may not be seen as a top option for her club, but she will quietly get you a double-double with ease. She is all over the floor, doing the little things right. Rebounding, boxing out, getting steals, making assists, you name it, she does it. When it comes to scoring, she isn't just a spot-up kid, but won't hesitate to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Cassidy is a heady ball player who competes on both ends of the floor. Makes shots, makes assists, rebounds, gets steals. This kid is an unselfish player who just wants to win. She's put the time in the gym this summer, honing her skills in the process. She's been battle-tested on the circuit and has excelled at multiple stops along the way.
