Oklahoma Class 2027 (ranked 65-UR) Flying Under the Radar

Crafty finisher that slides in the gap between two defenders getting to the rim. A good outside shooter that keeps you honest as she can get hot from the 3 point line. Great jumping ability giving you an idea of what kind of athlete she is. Effective player at the high post against a zone. I had the opportunity to watch her play in two PGH Circuit events this summer and at both events her game was the same level suggesting that her game is very consistent every game. If you are looking for a quick athletic guard that would excel in I believe a run/jump defense style with a attack the rim attitude Jayse would be a great fit. Click on the article below Doing some research off Hudl I seen where she dropped 5 from beyond the arch in a game last season. The movement to get open was nice coming off down and baseline screens. The footwork was nice using a step to create a passing lane away from the defender. Noticed also that she is one of those shooters that can go straight from triple threat position into a jumper with no wasted movement. A very strong lower base when in the low post that does not mind creating some contact to gain better positioning for a post move. Two very effective moves: first is the back downs with the bumps to get defender on their heals, second is working the feet before the catch for a drop step. In several games In Kansas she shot the 3 when the defender played back protecting the drive. A free throw magnet as she continued to pick up shooting fouls.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On defense she was a force in the second line of the press with great rotation for steals. II had the opportunity to watch her play this summer in several events and very solid performance in each one. A guard that could play the point or the shooting guard in a open offensive setting. Good handles going down hill using a pocket dribble to change her speed allowing her to get paint touches. Showed good vision on the kick outs to the open shooter. A guard that gives you solid consistent numbers every game. An excellent 3-point shooter that has nice footwork and smooth shooting mechanics. She moves without the ball either by drifting down to the corner or lifting out of the corner for the kick. Nice decisions when ran off the line getting to the paint drawing help defense. Impressive driver when she splits the gap between her man and help scoring at the rim. A all out hustler on both ends of the floor creating turnover on defense leading into points off turnovers.
