<p>During the summer, I had a chance to watch many talented forwards and post players from around the country. Usually, when you think of post players, you think of players were are 6'0" and taller. There were many of those. </p>

<p>However, there were a lot of young ladies under 6'0" who were getting things done against their taller foes. Here is a look at some of those talented undersized post players who were very productive this summer.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='734458' first='McKenzie' last='McCann'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713121' first='Lady' last='Brad Beal Elite'] 17U): A 5'10" 2026 forward from Cardinal Ritter has continued to improve with each season. She has a nice combination of physical strength along with quickness and footwork. She has a nice burst to get by defenders off the dribble and she also uses strength to score inside and rebound the ball. She can also step out and hit the 15 footer. She plays well in the pick and roll with her mobility.</p>

She is a high motor player who runs the court well in transition and rebounds out of her area. She can score around the basket and she is an excellent passer who hits open cutters. She can also knock down the 3-pointer off the pick and pop.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='722136' first='Ava' last='Schlotzhauer'] ([program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom'] 17U/Arnold): A 5'10" 2026 forward from Class 2 Tipton who is a tough cover around the basket. She can keep a defender off balance because she is so good with both hands. She does a lot of her damage around the basket and on the drive with her left hand. But, she shoots her jump shots and free throws with her right hands. She is strong and gets good positioning and she can use good shot fakes inside against the taller defenders.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='777616' first='Hadleigh' last='Todd'] (Phee Elite 16U): A 5'9" 2027 forward from Lutheran St. Charles who is very strong and a highly skilled player. Her versatile skill set makes her a matchup problem. With her ball handling and passing ability, you can run offense through her with her facilitating. She also has great positioning and footwork to score on a variety of moves in the low post. She can also step out and hit the 3-pointer or also score it off the drive.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='913073' first='Saniah' last='Jones'] ([program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb'] 15U): The 5'11" 2028 power forward was one of the state's most impressive young players this summer as she led Della to multiple tournament championships. She was simply too strong for players of any size as she muscled her way inside for buckets. Her perimeter game as also continued to emerged, which showed in her knocking down 3-pointers and taking defenders off the dribble from the high post. Her passing skills were also on point as she delivered many nifty dimes.</p>

She excels because she has a strong motor who puts in great effort at both ends of the court. She can rebound and she blocks her share of shots, which is good for her size. On the offensive end, she is very effective on the drive.</p>
