The 2025-26 school year is nearly here, and there are a few players who could take significant leaps this winter. Every season, some players make a name for themselves for various reasons, and this season will be the players who take another step in their development and excel. I want to highlight a few of them today.

The Sun Prairie native battled some injuries through the early portion of the AAU season. However, Vogler ended the summer playing some of the best basketball I've seen her play in a while. Her ability to space the floor and knock down shots from the perimeter forces the defense to guard her out there, and she does a solid job of getting downhill and putting pressure on opposing defenses by getting two feet in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='751291' first='Grace' last='Mitchell']

The Winneconne wing has the talent to earn attention from Division 1 programs. She has the size, skill, mobility, and physicality that make her an intriguing prospect. I loved Mitchell's passing ability when I saw her in Louisville, and believe that skill could help her take her game to the next level. There aren't many players who fit her mold, and that makes her a challenging player to contain in a one-on-one matchup. Keep an eye on her in 2025-26.

[player_tooltip player_id='914989' first='Claudia' last='Jenny']

I feel this could be Edgerton's time to make a run to the Resch Center, and Jenny is a significant reason why that may be the case. Jenny may be the best leader I've seen as a lead guard in my time around the game in Wisconsin. I've said I don't like to use cliches about players, but Jenny is the definition of another head coach on the floor. She's vocal, makes it clear what she expects from her teammates, and she's a magnetic figure on the floor. People respond to her in a way that is unlike anyone else I know of in Wisconsin.

[player_tooltip player_id='1052799' first='Miley' last='Covey']

The New Richmond guard has an opportunity to make a name for herself in this upcoming season. Covey is an excellent athlete who has adapted to being the focal point of her team's offense, which will help her as she continues her career with the program. Covey is a player who can generate her offense off the dribble and will have to make plays out of situations that seem like there's nothing there, but she is capable of that.
