Posts on the Watch List in 2026

It can be very easy to get caught up in focusing on the top players in a specific graduating class, so occasionally I like to take the time to point out a handful of talented ladies who currently find themselves on the watch lists. Below is a look at a few such ladies who have talent, skill, and the ability to help a college program down the road.   .    Jayonna is a high-upside front-liner who has gotten significantly better in the last year. She is long, wiry-strong, somewhat bouncy, and she'll get out and run the floor hard. She plays with a nice motor, she uses her length and athleticism to rebound against bigger, stronger opponents, and she is a really nice shot-blocker coming over from the "help" side. She has a high enough ceiling that if she continues to develop her offensive game, she could end up being an all-conference performer in a small college conference by her Junior year.     Lucy is probably the most skilled of the prospects on this list. She has the hands and footwork to score the ball around the block, great touch in the mid-post, and she can even step outside and knock down the occasional 3-pointer. She is extremely strong/powerful, she plays with a nice motor, and she likes to establish herself early in the possession. If she rim-runs and beats her matchup in transition, it's extremely difficult to get leverage back. She's also a nice box-out style of rebounder who uses her physicality to her advantage.     Aubrey has stuck with it over the years and continued to improve her game. She has a strong core, long arms, and long legs. She plays with a nice motor and tries to affect the game in a number of ways. Right now, she is primarily more of a defender/rebounder type, as she loves to play inside and has the reach to rebound "above" other opponents. She uses her length well defensively, and she does a nice job at the offensive end of keeping the ball high when she gets it. She is learning touch, but she has gotten so much better.     Jade is a strong/powerful, aggressive player. She loves to use her physicality to establish herself early each possession, whether it be at the offensive or defensive end of the floor. Offensively, she has soft hands, good touch, and she does a nice job of utilizing contact to create space. Defensively, she has the ability to sit down and defend the perimeter, but she's also deceptively long and does a nice job of blocking/affecting shots while rotating over from the "help" side. This grassroots season, I've been impressed with her offense.     Charlie is one of those prospects who may not be elite at any one trait, but she always finds a way to contribute and put her stamp on a game. She has some length, some strength, and she plays with a really nice motor. She isn't afraid of seeking out physicality, and she does a nice job of boxing out to rebound, though she can pursue rebounds outside of her area as well. Her offensive game is primarily around the basket to the mid-post, and she has done a nice job to continually improve her 15-footer. She could be a nice small college post.
