Wardle can be credited towards her quick play-making abilities as the point guard for HOI's 17U National Team (Elite 40 Division), as well as her tenacious defensive style. She is quick to pick up a ball-handling player and disrupt their dribbling. Leading her team in steals, she is able to create pressure on the opponent with minimal fouling, which is a quality that any top AAU team covets.

Due to her quick maneuvers, Baker was able to make her way past the persistent defensive attempts made by the HOI Heart to go straight to the rim for several uncontested lay-ups. On the other end, Baker made sure that the other team wouldn't have an easy time making it to the rim by anticipating play development effectively. Baker's impressive reach and boxing-out allowed for her to lead her team in rebounds.

Division 1 recruiters from Longwood University and Eastern Michigan have recognized Little's abilities on the court. Overall, Little is a very well-rounded player, but her defensive abilities catches the eyes of many audience members. As a point guard, it is her job to be two steps ahead when making plays, which she translates well into her defensive style. Her tenacious nature while guarding allows for her to put immense pressure on the opponent.

Tasich's quick feet on the court allow for her to keep up with any other player, including her own teammates. Her persistent pressure on defense makes teams uncomfortable during transition and half-court settings, making her steals seem effortless. The 17U Michigan Mystics were able to bring in two tough wins due to gritty guard play they offered at The Finale.

As a combo guard, Rose shows how she can distribute, but it's her defensive perseverance that separates her from others. Her consistency on defense throughout a game is something that college coaches and AAU teams look for constantly; her persistent hustle and fast-paced gameplay allows for her to slice through opponent's passes for notable steals. Rose's coverage on ball-handling players helps her teammates to create successful turnovers and rotations.
