Top Young Sharpshooters Changing the Game

These kids know how to fill it up from the arc at a consistent clip. They are the type of kids who can change the course of momentum in a split second. A team may be up by 10, and within three possessions, it could become a different ball game in a heartbeat. We have plenty of difference makers like that, but a few are coming to mind based on their style of play as of late.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Again, these are just a few ladies that stand out in my opinion. I am well aware there are tons more out there. What I will say is this: when it comes to putting up points in this state, we have young ladies who can will their way into double figures easily. They are the kids that coaches will call a play for if their team needs a bucket. You all know what I am talking about. Coach will yell, “ 1 Julia, 1 Julia.” Next thing you know, Julia is coming off a staggered screen and swish, nothing but net. You all know the feeling.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>My point is, we have some sharpshooters in this state. Once she sees that ball go through the net a time or two, shoot, it's on then. This kid has a nice stroke from deep, and when she gets her feet set, the ball is going in. She had an amazing summer and will look to carry that same intensity into the school ball year. She's a confident ballplayer who can shoot the lights out, especially from the corners. Given any open window, she's going to let it fly from the arc, splashing the nets consistently. When I tell you once she is on, she is hard to slow down. The ball tends to find her, and as soon as it hits her hands, it's going on. Don't let her stature fool you; she's a ballplayer. She can create off the dribble or catch in shoot, but once that ball gets into her shooting pocket, that lefty stroke is emaculate. This kid is a gamer who shines every time she steps onto the floor. Sure, you could call her a 3pt specialist, but there is more to her game than that. She can fill it up from the arc, but doing work on the inside as well also comes with the territory.  This kid is tough on both ends of the floor. A proven winner who is the leading catalyst for her club in multiple statistical categories. This kid finds the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. Doesn't matter the setting, AAU, School ball, if she gets any room, she's going to let the ball fly. Once she is on a heater, it's hard for her to stop. If the confidence is there after she has seen the ball go through the net a time or two, it's game over.
