Up-and-Coming Girls Basketball Players in Tennessee

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>USE CODE "tinnon30" FOR 30% OFF THE FIRST PURCHASE OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past week, I got off the phone with a Power 4 collegiate coach, and she raved about how the state has been producing quality basketball players as of late. This is not to say that we have a plethora of P4 girls within our state, but rather the fact that the standard of kids is on the upswing. Girls are faster, bigger, stronger, more skilled, and it is shown especially when they compete during the circuit schedule. Now, equating this to high school ball, it makes the leagues/ districts even tougher. Pride is on the line. Girls compete not only because they may have teamed up with each other over the summer, but some may have played for different clubs, so there may be a little rivalry going on. The list of reasons may go on, but my point, high school ball matters, and you are starting to see talent spread out within our state, no matter the level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Since I have been covering this sport with PGH Tennessee, we have had tons of girls go to various schools across the country. Michigan, Illinois, Ohio State, Tennessee, Alabama, Dartmouth, I mean, the list can go on, and I was just spitting out D1 schools. I mean, you add the D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO schools as well, and we have tons of girls playing ball at the next level. The exciting thing is this: with the 2025-26 season right around the corner, we will have some new blood looking to leave their mark on these Tennessee floors. More girls from our state will get recruited. She is an aggressive guard who can attack downhill, knock down the open 3 consistently, facilitate the rock, and contribute on the defensive end. This season, she will be able to carve out a solid role within the PCA program. Her aggressive mindset and the will to get after it on both ends of the floor will create valuable court time this first year. Look for her to step up and become a solid piece for this program moving forward. She plays with great energy and effort, controlling what she can control. If you want to talk offense, this young lady can be a marksman (or woman, I should say) from the arc. Confidently, she knocks the 3 ball down consistently. Isn't afraid to take it to the paint and finish in traffic. However, she has a great feel for the game, and she will hit the open teammates if they have a better opportunity. This young lady is a solid PG and one who will see the floor early as this RHS program is on the rebound to contend in the WCS district. She is a three-level scoring threat that has a nice stroke from the field. She can dial it up from the arc, or go get a bucket at the rim. She is a detail-oriented kid who loves the nuances of the game. She is a heady ballplayer who is going to find a way to exploit the other team's weakness. Great teammates, amazing work ethic, and will do anything to help her ball club win. Had a great summer season and have been in the lab. A nice change of pace guard who is poised with the ball in her hands. Sees the floor well, drops dimes, and won't hesitate to go get a bucket. Has a nice stroke from deep, a quick first step that enables her to get by a defender and into her floater game. This kid will be a nice addition to the WHS program. Someone who can open up a lot for others as well as get hers in the process. Can stretch the floor, work inside, and finish at the rim against contact with ease. She is a tough competitor who is going to be aggressive on both ends. She grabs boards, blocks shots, and really ignites her club. She's going to be the next big thing that comes from a tough Westview program. Look for her to get after it, make her mark, and thrive as she grows over the next couple of years.
