With the PrepHoops Washington Freshman Showcase taking place last weekend in Auburn, we saw a lot of new faces showcase a little of what they can do on the court. Here we are starting with Team 1.

#1 - [player_tooltip player_id='1308478' first='Camille' last='Phaysith'] - Jackson HS - Camille was one of my favorite players from the showcase. She is a high energy guard who can change her pace quickly and make defenses adjust to her play style. She scored from all 3 levels throughout the day and really excelled during both 3on3 and 5on5 play. She found open teammates, broke defenders down with her dribble, knocked down shots, and played great defense.

#4 - [player_tooltip player_id='1309354' first='Zoey' last='Wonderful'] - Sumner HS - Zoey plays under-control with the ball in her hands. She doesn't rush anything, always making the right pass or cut. She can attack from the wing and get to the bucket in a variety of ways. She is a high IQ defender too, understanding help side defense and always communicating.

#10 - [player_tooltip player_id='1249787' first='Brooklyn' last='Calonge'] - Cascade HS - Brooklyn brought a lot of energy to the court on both sides of the court. She handles the ball really well, breaking down opposing players with her dribbles and being able to get to the bucket or find open teammates after the defense collapses in.

#19 - [player_tooltip player_id='1309603' first='Taniyah' last='Tatum'] - Spanaway Lake HS - Taniyah was a fun player to watch throughout the day. She attacked the ball well throughout the day, excelling in the 3on3 games by using the space to attack and find teammates. She knocked down shots throughout the day too and wasn't afraid to let it fly. She has a bright future.

#20 - Jahzara Marshall - Seaside HS (OR) - Jahzara came up from Oregon and showcased her skills at a high level. She is a well rounded player who has a high IQ for the game. She communicates quickly and loudly while being able to stay in help side defense. She can play inside or out on the offensive side of the ball, setting great screens and shooting the ball smoothly.
