With the PrepHoops Washington Freshman Showcase taking place last weekend in Auburn, we saw a lot of new faces showcase a little of what they can do on the court. Here we are starting with Team 1.

#38 - [player_tooltip player_id='1308604' first='Maya' last='Reyes'] - Tahoma HS - Maya is a fundamentally sound guard who really knows the game well. She trusts her instincts, which are usually correct. She reacts quickly on defense and has great agility to stay in front of opposing players.

#41 - Malia Sou-hughes - Kentridge HS - Malia's footwork in the paint stood out to me as she can maneuver quickly and utilizes shot fakes to her advantage. She can step out to the three point range and knock down shots at a high percentage as well.

#42 - Arniya Robinson - C/O 2030 - Arniya was one of the younger players at the camp, but showcased her ability to compete at a high level. She handles the ball really well, breaking down defenders off her dribble and being able to finish at a high percentage in the paint.

#47 - Isabella Irias - Lake Washington HS - Isabella's ability to control the pace of the game and play under-control on both ends of the court. She is a great athlete, showcasing great speed with and without the ball. She's a player who can make an immediate impact at the HS level.

#61 - [player_tooltip player_id='1261279' first='Brooklynn' last='Murray'] - Bellarmine Prep - Brooklynn is a top player in the 2029 class and showcased her high level game the whole day. She seals in the paint very well, being able to get open for an entry pass and have smooth footwork to get open looks. She plays elite defense in the paint, utilizing her length for blocks and to grab the rebound. She is a future Division 1 player, in my eyes.
