This past Saturday, I attended the 2025 Prep Girls Hoops Freshman Showcase at the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club. The event brought together a talented group of players from across the state of Indiana, and the level of competition was impressive from start to finish. Each player approached the showcase with intensity, making the most of every opportunity to stand out. The format featured both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 sessions, which provided a great evaluation setting by showcasing individual skill, IQ, and how well players adapt within team concepts. This article highlights some of the top wings and forwards who stood out at the Freshman Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='1263942' first='Malyiah' last='Evans'] stood out during the showcase as one of the top guards in attendance. She brings an aggressive mentality and a clear desire to be the best every time she steps on the court—a quality that was on full display this past weekend. Evans is a creative player who can score in a variety of ways. She uses her handles, length, and athleticism to beat defenders and finish at the rim, while also showing the ability to knock down shots from beyond the three-point line, making her extremely difficult to guard. Beyond her skills, Evans brings energy, competitiveness, and excitement to every game. As she enters her freshman year with the Pike Lady Devils, she's poised to make an immediate impact and contribute to the program's ongoing success.
