PGH Expo: Team 9 Evaluations

The 2025 Expo was packed with talent as 80 prospects hit the floor on September 27th. The event format featured four hours of nonstop action, with players rotating through organized 3v3 and 5v5 matchups. One of the key benefits of the showcase is the media exposure—coverage from our scouts has already drawn thousands of views on X, and our post-event writeups are read by hundreds more. Every athlete who participates is highlighted in these articles, which makes the Prep Girls Hoops showcases such a unique and valuable experience. Players also had the chance to compete in front of various college coaches throughout the day. My focus this time was on Teams 1, 2, 7, 9, and 10. Let's start with some standout moments from Team 9!    Mylee made her presence felt for Team 9 at the PGH Expo with her athleticism and relentless effort. She battled hard in the paint, pulling down tough rebounds and turning them into second-chance points with put-backs. Her vision stood out as she made smart passes to open teammates, including a sharp feed over the defense. On the defensive end, she used her length to disrupt passing lanes and create turnovers. Mylee's toughness, energy, and ability to impact multiple areas of the game made her a key contributor for her team.     Claire had a strong showing for Team 9 at the PGH Expo, using her length and skill set to make an impact on both ends. She connected on several shots from beyond the arc, showing confidence and rhythm from deep. When defenders closed out, she attacked the lane and finished tough plays at the rim, including an impressive inside-hand finish after blowing by her defender on the wing. Her ability to score in different ways kept defenses guessing and made her a valuable piece for her squad throughout the day.     Rhiley made her presence felt for Team 9 with her length, activity, and relentless motor. She sprinted the floor every possession, turning her hustle into easy scoring opportunities for her team. On the defensive end, her wingspan and anticipation allowed her to disrupt passing lanes and pile up steals, which often led to fast-break chances. Her effort and ability to impact the game in transition stood out all day.     Maddy brought great energy for Team 9, using her quickness to turn defense into offense by pushing steals the length of the floor for easy baskets. She showed she can stretch the defense by knocking down shots from deep and wasn't afraid to attack the rim, where she powered through contact for tough finishes. On defense, her constant pressure and disruptive play made life difficult for opposing guards throughout the day.     Claire gave Team 9 a solid inside presence, battling on the boards and securing rebounds on both ends of the floor throughout the day. She was relentless in her effort, creating second-chance opportunities on offense while limiting her opponents' looks on defense. With her length, she was able to disrupt shots in the paint and make it tough for anyone to score over her.     Kira made her mark for Team 9 with her length and versatility on the perimeter. She attacked the basket with confidence, showing the strength to complete plays through contact. On the defensive end, her awareness stood out as she read the floor well and disrupted passing lanes. She was also strong on the glass, battling for rebounds on both ends, and her hustle was evident throughout the day. On offense, she showed good vision by delivering clean post-entry passes that set up her teammates in scoring position.     Emma was a top performer for Team 9, standing out as the kind of player who impacts the game in countless ways. Her defensive effort set the tone, with active hands and relentless energy that created turnovers and frustrated opponents. On offense, she attacked the rim with toughness, finishing strong even when absorbing contact, and she consistently made smart passes in transition to set up teammates. Emma's hustle, great hands, and commitment to doing the little things made her one of the most valuable players on the floor.     Caroline, a guard for Team 9, brought great energy and effort every time she was on the court. She showed impressive hustle, chasing down multiple offensive rebounds to give her team extra possessions. On top of her work on the glass, she knocked down shots from deep, proving she can stretch the floor while still doing the gritty work that makes a big difference in games.     Kenley was a top performer for Team 9, standing out as an athletic guard who played with speed and confidence. She pushed the ball quickly in transition and consistently finished tough plays at the rim.
