Nearly 100 prospects competed on Sunday in the Prep Girls Hoops Freshman Showcase at Maple Grove Middle School. We'll be releasing the first ranking of the 2029 class in a few weeks – our annual Freshman 50 – and numerous players made a strong case that they should be included. We're publishing evaluations on all 10 teams in the event. This is the best of Team 4, part 2.

Running is a steady post presence who makes her impact with size, motor, and rebounding ability. At the Showcase, it was obvious that she thrives on second-chance points, cashing in on put-backs, and finishing at the rim through effort and touch. Tough and versatile, she doesn't light up the scoreboard but has the ability to be a reliable producer. With graduations at Alexandria creating opportunity, Running's length and aggression should earn her a shot at a bigger role. This is a prospect with nice upside at the next level.

Reedy has been in the spotlight seemingly forever. already a seasoned varsity veteran, she was Royalton's most skilled performer last season on a team that generated 28 victories. This summer she was an integral part of the [program_tooltip program_id='712687' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] 2029 Yellow team that outperformed all expectations. Highly skilled and very confident, Chloe pushes the pace, makes smart decisions, and balances strong scoring ability with unselfish playmaking. Nobody has worked harder than Chloe to construct an elite skill set, effort that's going to pay off long-term.

Tanner is a unique prospect. At 6'2, the big forward has tremendous mobility, length, and strength of the degree that make her a legitimate Division I prospect. Korbin scores inside, rebounds aggressively, and shows surprising pace for her size bringing the ball up the floor. With a developing game from beyond the arc soon coming to her arsenal for real, Tanner is already one of the Top 10 prospects in West Central Minnesota. Her size, versatility, and defensive presence make her an elite prospect.

Yonke isn't flashy, and is unlikely to make your highlight reel. What she appears to be is a dependable, coachable guard who makes quiet but consistent contributions that help her team secure the W. Isn't that the point? A committed defender and capable shooter, Yonke showed this summer with [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] Zabel that she can get hot from three. Brooke appeared in 11 games at Edina last season; her reliability, effort level, and willingness to take on whatever role she's asked should earn her more opportunities.

This was our first look at Blackcloud, who hails from the Meskwaki Nation in Iowa. It was not an easy situation for her at the Freshman Showcase being placed on a team loaded with Division 1 level talent like [player_tooltip player_id='872714' first='Beckett' last='Greenway'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1263671' first='Madeleine' last='Hamiel']. Martha did her best to play a supporting role in an effective way. She worked hard to get open and make herself available while hustling on defense, too. Though still developing, Blackcloud demonstrated that with continued skill growth and game experience, she can be a key piece for Meskwaki.
