About Beckett
Expert Analysis
Brandon Fisher | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Beckett has continued to emerge as one of the more productive guards in the Midwest while playing up a class with North Tartan 16U EYBL. During the first live period, she finished top 20 in scoring at 11.8 PPG while also ranking top 10 in assists at 3.2 APG, showcasing her ability to balance scoring and playmaking at a high level. She shoots the three efficiently, creates well with the ball in her hands, and consistently brings a strong motor on both ends of the floor. She’s already collected more than a handful of Division I offers with Iowa State and Arizona State being the most recent programs to extend offers.

#1: It’s no secret by now that there’s more than one Greenway sister who is a premier prospect in Minnesota girls basketball. Playing with confidence and poise, Beckett is a cerebral point guard who impacts the game in a variety of ways. She’s an outstanding playmaker who can also create her own scoring opportunities off the dribble, she brings intensity and energy to the defensive end, particularly on the perimeter, and she is one of the elite outside shooters of the class. Greenway had an excellent summer in terms of recruiting, collecting Division 1 offers from Creighton, Arkansas, South Dakota State and more. She was a consensus #1 among our evaluators.

Fresh off winning the Nickle Dickle 3-point contest the night before, Greenway came to the Showcase on Sunday morning and dominated from start to finish. With North Tartan this summer she scored 459 points and hit 71 threes as her team went 27-2, and she consistently delivers regardless of opponent or setting. A truly elite ball-handler and shooter, Beckett creates her own looks, attacks with superior quickness, and finishes with a soft touch. Bottom line: Greenway is arguably Minnesota’s top freshman prospect.
