Talent Shines Bright At Tennessee Expo

The Expo was in full effect as girls from near and far ascended to the city to showcase their talent. I am definitely biased when it comes to talent in our state; however, the quality of our basketball is definitely on the upswing.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a setting like this, you can see how players adapt to certain situations. From being thrown into a 3v3 event, where you don't know your teammates that well, to playing a 5v5 game, you truly have to lean on your knowledge of understanding both pace and space. You could see who wanted the smoke early, as well as those who it took a minute to get their feel for the event. Either way, some impressive kids came out to showcase who they were and what their game is all about.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This event has truly become a must for those in the state. Not only to raise their stock, but also to see how they measure up against talent from different districts, divisions, and cities. She is a scoring PG who has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop. No matter where she is on the floor, she can dial it up or get to the rim with ease. You saw her fearlessness multiple times yesterday, as she would take it to the rack and challenge taller defenders. She is a hustler, a solid two-way player, someone who has her ballclub thinking state contention. This kid can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor, and you could just see how comfortable she was as she did so. From putting it on the floor to dialing it up from deep, she was in her bag as she went to town and showed everyone that she is at the top of her class. This season at FRA, look for her to make significant contributions in multiple phases of the game. They are thinking lofty goals at FRA. A monster. Put it that way. Her ability to exploit the mid-range, stretch the floor beyond the arc, and take it to the rim is crazy good. She was doing just that yesterday, showcasing her game with ease. She's been putting in work this offseason, and you can just tell in how she moves with and without the ball. She is a heady ballplayer who has big-time aspirations. She can score on all three levels, but what I like about her is her ability to assess the defense and attack it with aggression. She broke down her girl a couple of times, leading to shot advantages for herself. She distributed the ball nicely, which led to scoring opportunities. I liked her ability to get down and defend, slowing down the opposition. Se plays for a stingy White Co. ball club that is always looking to go deep in the tournament. She is a selfless ballplayer who has excellent court vision. She can thread the needle and deliver passes on time to teammates. Can handle the ball well, plays with pace and space. She can knock down shots from the perimeter, being a threat anytime the ball is in her hands. This past summer, she suited up for a talented Stars basketball club.
