There are a handful of players sitting just outside the top 20 who have the tools to take that next step. With a strong season, they could break through the ranking ceiling and make some serious noise. Here are a few names we think could grab the spotlight this year.

Mya's quick-trigger three makes her a constant threat on the perimeter, punishing defenses that lose track of her. She's smart about finding space just behind the arc, ready to fire the moment the ball swings her way. On the other end, she's just as disruptive—using her length to clog passing lanes, poke balls loose, and flip defensive stops into fast-break opportunities.

Gabby is the definition of a do-it-all player for Cedar. Running the point at her height gives her a matchup advantage almost every possession, and she knows how to use it. If defenders sag off, she'll bury the jumper; if they press too close, she'll blow by and create. With her versatility and ability to control the pace, she's the engine for Cedar. A strong fall showing and some quality wins could be the boost that elevates her even higher in the rankings.

Izzy has been a spark plug for years, no matter who's running alongside her. She's relentless on defense, hounding the ball handler every possession, and still has the energy to deliver buckets on the other end. Her nonstop motor makes her the kind of player every team needs on the floor.

Makayla's ceiling is still wide open, and this season could be the one where she shows just how high she can go. She's strong on the boards with a quick grab-and-put-back game in the paint that has taken another step forward over the summer. With Copper Hills working new players into the rotation, Mak has a real chance to break out and prove herself as a next-level prospect, potentially drawing interest from solid NAIA, NJCAA, or NWAC programs where she can continue to grow after graduation.

Jaycee's length gives her a unique edge at the guard spot, making her a constant disruptor on the defensive end. She's great at reading the play, sliding into passing lanes, and even swatting shots from the weak side. Right now, she's on the volleyball court, but those same ball-tracking instincts translate perfectly to the hardwood and make her a tough matchup.
