The 2026 rankings list now features 300 ranked prospects and 430 total. At this stage in the recruiting calendar, the offers on the table are an indicator of what level college coaches believe a prospect can play at. If there are no offers on the table, it's time for prospects to start reaching out to NAIA, D3, and JUCO programs. We believe, as a general rule, that now is the time when NAIA/D3/JUCO colleges are prioritizing the 2026 class, and they will continue to do so until roster spots are filled for next season. There are prospects whose current offers do not represent our evaluation of their abilities, and offers are not the ultimate measure we use to rank players. However, offers are a category in the evaluation criteria that we reflect upon during the rankings process.

Every high school season reveals more prospects across the state who don't play travel basketball but have qualities that make them a valuable college prospect. Most often, these prospects are NAIA/D3/JUCO rotational or JV/Reserve players. We do our best to find every prospect in the state who can play any level of college basketball. Colleges are always in need of new players to recruit who can help their teams compete--prospects who have a desire to play after high school. That's why it's so important for us to find as many players with college potential as possible and why it pains us when we miss any high school player who belongs in the rankings. Although it's impossible to see and evaluate everyone, that's our ultimate goal.

There will always be debate about which prospect is "better" than another, especially when comparing prospects who are being recruited to play at the same college level. As the rankings expand, there becomes less separation between prospects, with many fitting the mold of a JV/Reserve caliber player. Keeping all of that in mind, we feel very good about the accuracy and usefulness of our rankings as a respectable resource for college coaches to use.

Here are eight prospects who didn't compete on the 2025 travel circuit, but should be on college radars heading into their final high school season.

Avery is an exciting point guard from Allendale who energizes the team with her pesky defense and dynamic offensive abilities. Her explosive steps and shifty crossover combinations lead to many layups off the dribble. Avery delivers accurate passes to open teammates and causes turnovers with her relentless on-ball pressure. Avery is a two-way playmaker who could make a difference for a college program and will be a prospect to watch this winter.

Addison left a lasting impression during a summer league game at the Compound with Dakota. Her competitive determination on both ends of the court, strong rebounding, defensive presence, high motor, instincts off the ball, and physicality are all qualities that could help a college program. Addison is a forward to keep an eye on this winter.

Callie was a hidden gem point guard who put herself on our radar after a dominant showing for Hale at the Au Sable Shootout. Her crafty ball-handling control, full-speed finishes, deadly three-point shooting, determined rebounding, and aggressive on-ball pressure made it clear that she had next-level potential. Callie puts up huge numbers. She set a school record with nine 3-pointers during a game against Atlanta last season. Callie had several 25-point games and multiple 30-point performances. She's a Northern Michigan prospect off the circuit who should have college coaches taking a serious look.

Brooklyn will be a point guard to pay attention to at Holland Christian this winter. She's a multi-sport athlete who has the athleticism, length, vision, and shooting abilities needed to be a solid addition to a college program. Brooklyn scans the floor to find open teammates and fires accurate passes for assists. She drives hard to the basket and finishes through contact. Brooklyn makes smart reads off the ball, rips the nets from three-point range, and creates steals with her scrappy defense. She's a two-way player who should be on college radars heading into her senior season.

I had the opportunity to see Clara play in person for the first time during the Plymouth Summer League, and she left no doubt about her value as a college basketball prospect. Clara has a muscular build that translates to the college game and finishes with strength through contact. She knocked down perimeter jumpers, fired laser beam passes to open teammates in transition, secured rebounds, played effective defense, and created space with her dribble combinations. Clara should have college basketball opportunities coming her way, and she's on the verge of a huge senior season for Plymouth Christian Academy.

Jaelyn was a breakout player at Northwood Team Camp for Ludington. She possesses length, strength, and aggressiveness on both ends of the court, which immediately showcase her potential as a college prospect. Jaelyn drives hard downhill from the perimeter to score layups, finishes through contact, dishes passes to open teammates, secures rebounds, and protects the rim as a shot blocker. She's a prospect for college coaches to prioritize taking a look at this winter.

Addison has a competitive edge and physicality that coaches love to have on their team. She's a determined rebounder who finishes well off two feet and cleans up on the offensive glass. Addison steps outside to hit three-pointers and gains the advantage with her footwork to score around the basket. She makes the hustle plays and is a fierce shot blocker. Addison is a versatile forward who should have opportunities to play at the next level; expect a great senior season from her at Gaylord this winter.

Irelynd was essential to Ewen-Trout Creek's run to the State Finals last season, and she should be a dominant U.P. prospect once again as a senior. Irelynd's productive rebounding and efficiency around the basket earned her an All-Breslin D4 selection. She's a 1,000-point scorer and a double-double threat every game. Irelynd has good touch around the basket, footwork, and can shoot from the perimeter. She protects the rim as a shot blocker and has qualities as a forward that would benefit a college program.
