The 2026 rankings list now features 300 ranked prospects and 430 total. At this stage in the recruiting calendar, the offers on the table are an indicator of what level college coaches believe a prospect can play at. If there are no offers on the table, it's time for prospects to start reaching out to NAIA, D3, and JUCO programs. We believe, as a general rule, that now is the time when NAIA/D3/JUCO colleges are prioritizing the 2026 class, and they will continue to do so until roster spots are filled for next season. There are prospects whose current offers do not represent our evaluation of their abilities, and offers are not the ultimate measure we use to rank players. However, offers are a category in the evaluation criteria that we reflect upon during the rankings process.

Every high school season reveals more prospects across the state who don't play travel basketball but have qualities that make them a valuable college prospect. Most often, these prospects are NAIA/D3/JUCO rotational or JV/Reserve players. We do our best to find every prospect in the state who can play any level of college basketball. Colleges are always in need of new players to recruit who can help their teams compete--prospects who have a desire to play after high school. That's why it's so important for us to find as many players with college potential as possible and why it pains us when we miss any high school player who belongs in the rankings. Although it's impossible to see and evaluate everyone, that's our ultimate goal.

There will always be debate about which prospect is "better" than another, especially when comparing prospects who are being recruited to play at the same college level. As the rankings expand, there becomes less separation between prospects, with many fitting the mold of a JV/Reserve caliber player. Keeping all of that in mind, we feel very good about the accuracy and usefulness of our rankings as a respectable resource for college coaches to use.

Here are seven prospects who have solidified themselves as top 25 prospects in this class. Each earned a higher ranking in our latest update.

Mariah looked great with 1 Nation Elite during the travel season and is a Miss Basketball candidate heading into her final season at Wayne Memorial. Her lightning quickness, aggressive defense, effectiveness as a facilitator, and three-level scoring abilities make her an exciting prospect to watch. Mariah is going to be the court general this season with the graduation of Bryant, and she's more than capable of being the lead guard. After a state semifinal run last season, the Zebras have the talent and senior leadership needed to make it back. Mariah will continue her basketball career at Temple University following graduation.

Cece showed explosiveness, speed, and all the qualities that make her an exciting prospect during games with [program_tooltip program_id='713442' first='MBA-UAA' last=''] on the travel circuit. She's one of the toughest on-ball defenders and finishers at the rim in this class. Cece creates space with her crossovers and attacks gaps with a dribble burst. Muskegon is a top ten team in Division 1 heading into the regular season, and Cece will be a huge factor in their success this winter. I'm excited to see Cece staying in Michigan to continue her college career at Oakland University after graduation.

Abby turned in an impressive performance for [program_tooltip program_id='713442' first='MBA-UAA' last=''] in July at the Select Super Showcase. Abby looked more guard than forward--attacking hard off the dribble to score layups through contact and using excellent footwork to finish around the rim. Abby can extend her range to the perimeter and drain triples. She's already eclipsed 1,000 career points at Forest Hills Northern and stuffs the stat sheet in multiple categories. Abby's stats and high school success support the notion that she belongs as a Miss Basketball candidate. Forest Hills Northern won the OK White Conference last season and will look to make another deep playoff run next March. Abby will be continuing her career at Grand Valley State following graduation.

Alesia has battled through injuries during her high school career, but when healthy, she's easily one of the top wings in the state. Alesia earned the first-ever PGH Michigan Player of the Week Award last December with 44 points, 19 rebounds, seven blocks, and seven assists in two games. She played well for Mystics P24 on the circuit and will be an important senior leader for Heritage this season. Alesia works hard on defense and as a rebounder. She closes passing windows, moves her feet to shut down driving lanes, and contests shots using her length. Alesia has excellent footwork inside and handles the ball with poise. She's a confident perimeter shooter who can score at all three levels. Heritage is a top ten team in Division One and will be competing for an SVL North title this year. Alesia will be continuing her basketball career at Ferris State following graduation.

Mya is the best prospect in the 2026 class that most people probably have never seen or heard of. She went toe to toe with Michigan's top post prospect at the MBA Mother's Day Classic and would have D1/D2 colleges in Michigan blowing up her inbox had she not already committed to Baylor University for volleyball. Mya helped lead Ishpeming to a D4 state championship in 2024; her freakish athleticism, strength, size, and college potential left a lasting impression. Mya is, without question, the best forward north of the Mackinac Bridge and one of the best in the state.

Sophia will be the lead guard for one of the most dangerous teams in the state this winter. South Christian is a top five team in Division Two and potentially the favorite to win it all. Sophia had a stellar travel season for [program_tooltip program_id='713442' first='MBA-UAA' last=''] on the circuit and was also impressive at BCAM's Reaching Higher. Her ability to penetrate gaps with explosive quickness, finish through contact, distribute accurate passes, pressure the ball, and rip the nets from three-point distance, make her a top 25 prospect in the state. She's a great addition to Hope's 2026 class and should have a very successful career there following graduation.

Lilly had a phenomenal junior season for Portland. She won Michigan's PGH Player of the Week in January. was a Top Performer at The Platform Showcase, and earned recognition as a Junior Player of the Year Finalist. She stuffed the stat sheet and contributed to the team's success in every category--averaging 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.9 steals per game during the regular season. The Raiders have plundered the CAAC White the past two years. They were undefeated in conference play last season, and Lilly is unquestionably their leader on the court. Her toughness, gritty effort on both ends, productivity in big games, and leadership will be key for them to make a deep playoff run. Lilly will continue her basketball career at Lake Superior State University following graduation.
