Last week we rolled out the updated Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2027 rankings, adding 15 newcomers to our list of top sophomores. That brings the total number of ranked prospects in the class to 100. We're going to profile all 15 of the newcomers beginning today with four players who are making their debut in the Top 100. Big post [player_tooltip player_id='764176' first='Amaya' last='Hinzmann'] of St. Michael-Albertville comes in the highest at #67. Physical guard [player_tooltip player_id='999564' first='Taylah' last='Jahnke'] of Watertown-Mayer is next at #78. Lanky post [player_tooltip player_id='764208' first='Kjersten' last='Hoehne'] of Southwest Christian earned her way onto the list at #83. And the final player making her rankings debut in the Top 100 is #87 [player_tooltip player_id='1323606' first='Olivia' last='Deelstra'] of Hills-Beaver Creek, a hidden gem with tons of upside. Here are the details

At 6'2", Hinzmann is a strong, versatile presence in the paint with the mobility to defend the perimeter. She impressed at the Prep Girls Hoops Expo, showcasing improved offensive skills and a more refined scoring touch. Hinzman finishes through contact, puts the ball on the floor in traffic, and navigates with control. On defense, she plays with poise and purpose – dropping into a deep stance, using her length to disrupt shots, and rebounding with smart positioning. Amaya's instincts and timing stand out, and she can effectively guard inside or out. A breakout season looks likely.

Jahnke is a 5'10” physical guard with the frame, strength, and competitive edge of a future college athlete. She attacks the rim relentlessly, weaving through traffic with pace and confidence. A strong driver in transition with good vision, Jahnke has proven she can put up points in high school. Her playmaking and shot-making ability are solid, and she's continuing to improve her handle and defensive consistency. Her aggressive approach and willingness to mix it up give her an edge, and she's trending up. With refinement, Taylah could be a really valuable two-way asset at the next level.

Hoehne's game took a big leap ahead this fall. The 6'1” forward showed substantial growth at the PGH Expo, both in confidence and in skillset. Her length gives her a defensive edge – she's a reliable rim protector who alters shots and snags rebounds with instinctive timing. Offensively, she has developed the ability to play inside and stretch the floor, moving fluidly between the low post and perimeter. Her rebounding, shot-blocking, and emerging offensive versatility make her a well-rounded forward with upside. With continued development, Kjersten could rise in the 2027 rankings as a classic late bloomer.

Though relatively unknown, the 6-foot Deelstra is a raw athlete with major upside. A natural mover who practically glides across the floor, Deelstra was brought to our attention this summer by our good friend Reggie Becker and made a strong impression despite limited AAU and high-level experience. She has a smooth touch around the rim, can finish with a drop step, and has flashed a mid-range jumper. Her long frame and athleticism make her a strong rim-runner, rebounder, and transition scorer. With added strength and skill refinement, Deelstra has the tools to develop into a scholarship-level player. Her ceiling is high if she commits to consistent competition and growth.
