The updated 2027 College Prospect Rankings are here, and with this class, things are starting to take shape. These are COLLEGE prospect rankings, meaning that OFFICIAL OFFERS carry significant weight in player movement. D1 and D2 offers usually land players near the top, while D3, NAIA, and JUCO prospects fall toward the latter part of the list.

High school or AAU accolades or stats DO NOT play a big role in this, simply due to the fact that the competitive level differs during both seasons. It's all about how a player projects at the next level. Things such as size, speed, height, versatility, positional fit, and overall athletic ability matter just as much as skill set. At this point, it's becoming clear which players will make an impact at their level of college and which ones are still developing into that role. The Watch List features a strong mix of D2/D3 to JUCO prospects still being evaluated.

Herron is a guard who plays with pace but matches it well with aggression. From a scoring standpoint, there aren't many spots on the court that she can't get hot from. When it comes to playmaking, her head is constantly up and scanning the floor for open looks. A guard that can truly hit another level over the next couple of years.

King has the length, athleticism, and skill to be a focal point on both ends of the court, especially the defensive side. Her frame allows her to guard both the perimeter and the paint, and for the heavy ball-handling guards or forwards, she can cause a lot of frustration. Offensively, she's not afraid to let it go from the outside and shows that in both the open court and on the drive, she has the right set of moves to get where she needs to go. A player to definitely watch this HS season.

Douglas will definitely find her way in a collegiate program. She is a player who can do a little bit of it all and seems to be as coachable as they come. She plays bigger and longer than her height shows, and can be a problem for those who look her off. She is a true complementary piece that can bring major impact to whatever system she's included in. There is some upside to her game as well, individually. It could be a key piece for Waubonsie this season.

Shepard is a workhorse and has a ton of strength and energy when she plays. On the drive, she has no issue with finishing around the rim and can get it going from outside of the arc as well. Defense is where I think her calling card will be for coaches. She moves her feet well and knows how to body up without fouling. Looking forward to seeing how she does this HS season.

Clarke should be a key player to use going into this year for St Ignatius. She provides energy, size, and a relentless type of mindset. The skill is still growing, and her overall skillset is still being developed, but with her aggression on both ends of the court, a college coach could see a strong prospect to develop and build.
