Rankings Update: 2027 Stock Risers

As the 2027 class continues to develop, this past spring and summer gave us a clearer look at some players who've made significant strides in their games. Several prospects have seen their stock rise thanks to strong grassroots performances, improved skill sets, and growing leadership roles heading into the high school season.   Here's a look at some of the names that stood out and are moving up in the 2027 rankings.    Kinsey has continued to impress following a strong spring and summer with Jason Kidd Select. Coming off an injury, she's shown resilience and leadership, elevating her game to another level. Her ability to create shots, control the pace, and make plays on both ends of the court makes her one of the more complete guards in the class. Expect her to take on an even bigger leadership role for Valley Vista this season as she looks to guide a talented group.     When it comes to speed and quickness, few can match what Jayla brings to the floor. She's arguably the fastest player from end to end in the AIA, using her burst to put pressure on defenses every possession. Freeman's ability to get downhill and finish or create for others makes her a nightmare in transition. Expect her to be a major catalyst for Higley as she continues to mature as a floor general.     Trinity continues to trend upward as one of the more intriguing forwards in the class. Her length, athleticism, and wingspan give her a natural edge on both ends of the court. Jones has been steadily improving her offensive skill set, showing flashes of a developing face-up game to complement her rebounding and defensive presence. Her ceiling remains high, and she's only scratching the surface of what she can become.     Schooler has quietly put together a strong resume and continues to make consistent strides. The combo guard's scoring ability and defensive presence make her one of the more well-rounded guards in the 2027 class. She's shown confidence in handling the ball, knocking down shots, and defending multiple positions. As her offensive efficiency improves, she'll continue to rise among her peers.     Basha's backcourt will be in good hands with TJ leading the way. A poised floor leader with a high basketball IQ, Coleman plays with confidence and control. She's shown the ability to run an offense, make the right reads, and step up in key moments. Coming off a solid summer, Coleman is primed for a breakout junior campaign as she continues to take command of a Basha squad with high expectations this season.     Risi has solidified herself as one of the toughest two-way guards in Arizona's 2027 class. Her defensive energy sets the tone — she's relentless on the ball, forcing turnovers and disrupting opposing guards. Offensively, she's equally capable as a facilitator and shot creator, giving O'Connor a balanced and dependable presence. Lancaster's competitive edge and consistency make her a player every coach wants on the floor.     Bri's summer on the EYBL circuit turned plenty of heads. The talented guard brings a dynamic skill set highlighted by her shooting, playmaking, and confidence with the ball. She plays at a high pace and can score at all three levels. With Compass Prep reloading with talent once again, Potter's versatility and experience against elite competition will make her a key contributor this season.
