Even though Akayla got hurt in the first game, and suffered a sprained ankle, it did not stop her playing in her second game. It was obvious she was in pain and not 100%. She showed you the grit that she always brings to the court, no matter the circumstance. Akayla is a hard-nosed defender with a dawg mentality. She will do anything that is asked of her to compete and win!

If you are looking for a 6'0 athletic forward who can score back to the basket and always finds her way to the rim Imani McIver is your girl. She handles the ball well for her size and can step out and knock down perimeter jumpers. Her speed allows her to run rim to rim at ease, which always puts her in position for offensive putbacks. Imani is also known for her shot blocking ability. She has very good timing to alter a shot without fouling.

Jameson has an excellent all-around game. Do not let her size at 6'0 deceive you because she can do a little bit of everything as a forward. She is strong enough and does not mind physicality in the post to be able to make back to the basket moves and finish with contact. However, she is also versatile enough to cut backdoor or over the defenders face to slash and score a layup. I have seen her grab a rebound and bring the ball up the court like a PG and deliver a dime. Not to mention she can also step back and shoot it well beyond the arc.

Trinity was definitely one of the tallest players on the court at this event. She has to continue to use her height and wing span to her advantage. She can alter shots and make it very difficult for opposing players to get to the rim. Crumlin can be a huge key to her high school team if she works in the paint area and demands the ball. Rebounding will be another area that she could be a force. Looking forward to see how she develops this season.

Ava showed why she is currently ranked #2 in her position. She has a great feel for the game. Her size is a huge mismatch at the high school level because she can post up smaller defenders or step out and knock down threes at a high rate. Ava is extremely agile and moves up and down the court with finesse. She has recently verbally committed to East Carolina University.
