Stock Risers: 2028 Forwards looking to have a breakout year.

As a former athlete I know the amount of work that needs to be put in to help push your game to the next level. A big reason why I love covering the game of basketball is the opportunities to year in and out to see some of these athletes develop. The hard work put in shows and understanding that the unseen hours are the ones that count. Here is a look at some forwards in the class of 2028 looking to make some noise this coming season.        Hollinshed is a long and agile forward that has done a great job over the last year of expanding her game. Last year at Piper she was a solid post presence that maneuvered over and around defenders. This year she now shows the ability to handle the ball going either direction as well as developing a midrange shot. Reniah shows good touch around the basket, and finishes well with either hand.       Tess is a strong forward who plays with great energy, effort, and intensity. She takes pride in the small things that help teams win games. She makes great decisions with the ball, she boxes out and rebounds, and is solid on and off the ball on defense. Over the last year, she's expanded her game to the perimeter and shows the ability to shoot the ball as well as put it on the floor off the bounce and get downhill.       Combs is coming off a knew injury but continues to gain traction as she heads into her sophomore year. She shows good strength and the ability to finish through contact. Very unselfish and looks to make the right play when the ball is in her hands. Combs displays good footwork in the paint and a soft touch when finishing.       Grace is looking to have a breakout year at Kansas City Christian, which is a small private school in Prairie Village, KS. Last year she was one of the top scorers and rebounders on the team. Grace is a strong small forward with a sound handle. She plays through contact very well and displays great finishing ability with either hand. She's a unselfish player that looks to make the best play during game play. Christensen is a stellar on ball and off ball defender as well.       Taldo is a lengthy forward with good speed. She runs well in transition and plays with a high motor game in and out. Taldo is agile and shows versatility on both sides of the ball. On defense, she shows her ability to guard multiple positions consistently. Offensively, she's able to step out and shoot the mid-range as well as put it on the floor, get downhill to finish. She's also very active on the boards on O and D.
