Sliding down to 2A for the 2026 season are Atchison County, Belle Plaine, Humboldt and St. Marys. Sante Fe Trail moves up to 4A. <p>Especially worth watching in this season will be Eureka. The 3A state tournament qualifier lost a pair of transfers to Maize South but gained a transfer from 5A state runner-up Bishop Carroll. Take a look at players to know for each of the teams.</p>

<p><strong>Olivia Doney</strong>, 5'9", CG, 2027 - Doney brings hustle, speed and transition finishing ability to the table. She is a versatile player who plays on the wing and inside on both ends.</p>

<p><strong>Lili Tanking</strong>, 5'10", SG, 2026 - Tanking is a solid perimeter threat who spots well. She will shoot it from around the arc with 20' range.</p>

Sramek is a fast, active and versatile player who will be found playing the 2-4 spots on both ends. Often she defends opposing team's best shooter. Sramek is a returning KSHSAACovered 2A and Kaw Valley Conference honorable mention selection who is sits at #167 in the 2026 rankings. </p>

<p><strong>Harper Heston</strong>, C/PF, 2028 - Entering her sophomore year the unranked was a member of the Bears' 1A-2A softball state championship team. She brings solid size and north south speed to the interior. The North East Kansas League honorable mention selection in 2025 also can score it in traffic on both sides of the hoop.</p>

The Panthers reached the 2A state quarterfinals in 2025 and will use her experience to help the Panthers try to run the Mid-Continent League again and reach the 3A tournament. She is ranked <strong>#229</strong> in the 2026 class. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1191836' first='Maggie' last='Lance'], 5'3", PG, 2028 - Ranked <strong>#70</strong> in the 2028 class Lance averaged 8.6 points on 32% three point and 50% free throw shooting. She will hit the three ball around the perimeter with no wasted movement off the catch. Lance also added 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and .9 assists. </p>
