Happy final day before high school practices begin. Today is the last day without official basketball activities until March 15. We'll do our traditional stock risers and new additions for the 2027 class before updating the 28s tomorrow. That being said, let's highlight a handful of rising junior players to end the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='751240' first='Autumn' last='Crowe']

I thought Crowe played well within her role last season at St. Mary Catholic. However, she excelled during the AAU season and showed everything she can do on the offensive end of the floor. Corwe attacked the basket well in her minutes over the summer and proved to be a player who could put pressure on the basket. It also helps that Crowe has already shown she can knock down perimeter shots with regularity. She should have an impressive season this winter with her Zephyr group.

[player_tooltip player_id='751236' first='Alexis' last='Shelsta']

The Hartford guard has played alongside a ball-dominant lead-guard and a forward who is now playing at a Big Ten school. Shelsta hasn't been a player who has been at the top of opposing scouting reports in her first two seasons, but could be this coming winter. She played her best basketball down the stretch of the AAU season and carried that level into Fall League. She'll be an intriguing player to watch in the North Shore.

[player_tooltip player_id='883074' first='Liliana' last='Verplancke']

I became a massive fan over the last few months after watching her play in a Grafton open gym and in the PGH Expo. Verplancke has become a more confident offensive piece since the end of last season and is willing to exploit mismatches off the dribble. She is a physical player with some speed to beat opposing post players. I also love the versatility that she brings to the defensive side of the ball, and she could be an x-factor for the Black Hawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='751271' first='Madilyn' last='Davel']

Neillsville has been a traditional power in the Cloverbelt for a long time, and Davel is a player who can help continue their dominance. She has shown she can be a player who creates for others or hunts her shot off the dribble offensively. She has the foot speed and handle to beat her initial defender off the dribble and can move her feet laterally to keep her defensive assignment in front of her. She can also make plays on the ball defensively in the opposing backcourt at times. I'm a massive fan of her game.
