With the season kicking off this week, we will finally get to see how some of the top freshman perform in their first high school games. With all freshmen not making varsity teams for a handful of reasons that are sometimes out of their control, we can't see everyone, so it's important to note that these freshman rankings are heavily weighted toward those who already have offers, those who are undeniably skilled, and players who have legit college interest. We have extended the rankings from 10 to 25 for this update, as well as added 10+ prospects to our Watch List. Below are a couple of freshmen who should be on the coaches watch lists.

From the outside, there's not a shot that Herron is afraid to take.. and you usually can count on it when she does. She has a solid frame as a freshman, and honestly, may not be done growing. She's a top 30 prospect in this class, and i i only see that going up as the years go by. Strong potential.

Akins playmaking and defensive IQ will be her calling card as her offensive skillset continues to develop. She plays a tough brand of basketball, and with that type of attitude and energy, her size is far from a negative. She isnt afraid of the big moments, and knows how to command a possession as well. Strong upside.

Benet has always had strong guards, and even the younger ones have shown moments of growth as well, especially since the coaches for the non varsity teams do a great job of developing. Sedillo will fall in that group and will be a strong piece for this program throughout high school. She already has a solid offensive skillset and plays the game with a ton of aggression and confidence. The potential is there.

Bailey will be a key piece for the GBS program over the next couple of years. Defensively and on the boards is where she'll make an impact immediately, but she can for sure bring in some points underneath and near the rim.
