<p>At this year's First Coast Media Day, a new wave of under-the-radar players stepped into the spotlight. From Clay High School to Paxon, and from Stanton to Sandalwood and Ed White, there was no shortage of prospects ready to make their mark. These are the players who haven't always been the talk of the area—but their growth, grit, and potential make them key pieces in shaping the landscape of the 2025-26 First Coast basketball season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Returning from an injury, Moses enters the season with a career average near 15 points per game. The senior guard brings leadership to the team and is a reliable scorer at multiple areas on the floor. In addition to scoring, Moses can handle the ball and impact the game with her ability to get the ball to her teammates. Defensively, she is quick and plays the passing lanes. Moses has a a career average of 3.2 steals per game. She is a leader and floor general to watch this upcoming season. <br><br></p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='798679' first='Kirsten' last='Gudmalin'] is a guard who has been under the radar for her last few years at Sandalwood. The senior guard's athleticism jumps off the page and she has the ability to make life difficult for opponents, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Gudmalin has speed and physicality and is very good in the transition game. She is a two-sport athlete (Flag football) one of the most athletic guards in the area. She will keep Sandalwood in a lot of games this upcoming season. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='515110' first='Jacoreyn' last='Andrews'] (cover photo) has been the glue player for the Trojans for over a year and she has handled the responsibility well. Andrews makes heady plays on the court and is always in the vicinity of the ball making plays. Andrews can handle the ball, and can penetrate the defense and draw the defense. This past Fall she showed a consistent jump shot from the perimeter and in the short range. Her three point shot is very good and with the addiction of [player_tooltip player_id='221598' first='Trinity' last='Berry'], Andrews will have a lot of shots coming her way.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1151388' first='Jahkyra' last='Rodman'] is another under the radar player who brings athleticism and productivity to the roster. She can rebound on both ends of the floor and has the ability to score in the middle of the paint. Rodman's ability to defend the three and the four position makes her a dual threat on the defensive end. she has the quickness to cover small forwards and the physicality to match-up against power forwards and short centers. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='823456' first='Trinity' last='Hodge'] dropped by the media event and reminded the community that she was a player to be reckoned with. Hodge is a versatile player who can score in multiple areas of the floor. She has a nice jumper from the mid-range area and she can also knock down the three pointer from the forward position. Hodge has good height and is a talented rebounded on both ends of the floor. Hodge has the versatile game to lead her team in scoring this upcoming season. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1320586' first='Tania' last='Washington'] is another under the radar player who not only caught our attention at media day, but also with her performance during the Fall and at the recent Flagler ID showcase. Washington has good height and is versatile on the defensive end. She rebounds well and and does a good job of getting the ball to her ball handlers. Washington defends well against forwards and centers. Her speed, length, and height make her a solid versatile defender. </p>
