Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC hosted their 18th Annual Super Scrimmage on Saturday, November 1, 2025. There were 28 teams participating from North Carolina and surrounding regions. There was also over fifty college coaches in attendance. Let me just say there was no shortage of talent on the three courts that made up 42 total games for the day.

Jania had a great showing at the Providence Day scrimmage. She played point guard most of the day and showcased her ball handling ability against pressure. A true combo guard that displayed why she is good with the ball in her hands. She made dribble moves all day that allowed her to get past her defender and finish often with a spin move. Wilson also showed that she can be a weapon beyond the arc. She shot a very high percentage from the three-point line. Defensively, she created steals that lead to easy buckets. She played with a competitive urgency on ball sides of the ball.

If you watched Asheville School play you could see the chemistry between the twins of Janai and Jaza Wilson. Jaza played off of Jania and was a threat from the wing in all three games. She made explosive downhill drives to the bucket and used her quickness to get past her defender. She also showed that she can shoot the deep ball when needed. On the defensive side Wilson was solid and came up with several deflections and rebounds.

I always enjoy watching Olive play. She does all of the little things that make her a fundamentally sound post player. She has great footwork and touch around the paint area and shoots a very high field goal percentage. Bigham has started stretching the floor more with her outside shot. She also does a good job on the boards.

This was a kid that did a little bit of everything well. Sophie played extremely tough and hard-nosed versus a talented Ambassador Christian team. She did all the dirty work on the defensive end and played with a ton of heart, hustle and scrappiness to get her team back into the game. Every loose ball she was right in the middle of it whether it was on the ground or coming off the rim. I enjoyed watching her play and love her intensity!

A true athlete that lays it all out on the court. I witnessed Kaiya be a one-man reckoning crew defensively on the press for her Lake Norman squad. She is fast enough to cover sideline to sideline, and she did exactly that to cause steals and turnovers numerous times. She is long and lanky with a nice wingspan that caused opponents trouble all day. She definitely was an eye opener for the people and coaches watching in the stands. I love the energy she brings to the game. If you need a defensive stop she will get it for you!
