Southern Arizona Showcase 2027 Standouts Part Two

Players were placed on teams and played in 2-3 games throughout the day. One of the top classes overall at this event for the girls was the 2027 class. One of the better two way guards in her class. Medina is quick and effective in transition. A quick and impactful decision maker. Finds the shooter in the corner but confident and skilled to take the line and score through contact. High percentage shooter from the perimeter. My first viewing of her was at Section 7 where she consistently played well. This time around she was matched up with some of the top talent in Southern AZ and it was no different. Warren was a physical rebounder and scored effectively on second chance opportunities. defended well coming up with blocked shots throughout the day. Couple things that stood out immediately was he confidence and her physicality. She showed great ability to guard every position on the floor. A strong rebounder. Showcased an effective mid range and took high percentage shots throughout the day. Defensively she picks up the length of the court and doesn't let up. Her quick feet and hands made it difficult for her opposition. Did a great job getting around screens. Wasn't afraid of getting on the floor going after a loose ball. Skilled dribbler on the offensive end that will make a quick move and shoot her jumper. She flat out hustles. Strong rebounding ability and finds the open player. Very unselfish player. Seemed to always make the right play for her team. Does the "dirty work" and did it with passion. A skilled forward that can play and handle the ball like a guard. High percentage shooter from mid range. Defended the paint and rebounded the ball very well. Moves without the ball and gets open.
