[player_tooltip player_id='880906' first='Kalyn' last='Scamman'] is leading the state right now in total points with 195. Scamman is usually seen as more of a pass-first PG but she can obviously score the rock at a high rate as well. With the team's her program is playing right now, she is just dominating the PG position in every definition of the phrase. As we get closer to the Playoffs others will need to step up with her when they face tougher competition but for now I don't expect much to change in the near future. Scamman is the top dawg in her program now and she is showing it in every facet so now we will see how far she can take things as a leader come Playoff time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1556440' first='Aniya' last='Hardee'] of Bedford High School has been dishing out the rock at such a rate that it's hard to believe. Hardee is averaging 9 Rebounds and 7.5 Assists per game throughout their first eight contests. When you look into Hardee, her past film, and what she has put together this year - you'd think she is a natural PG but at times she does compete from that Wing spot, having some major success in more ways than one as we can obviously see. If Bedford wants to win more contests over the next three months, they are going to need more of this out of Hardee. If she consistently stays around these numbers all Winter long, it's going to be a conversation when the year comes to a close because that would be impressive to say the least.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106028' first='Sylvia' last='Sullivan'] is averaging a double-double in the points-rebounds department this Winter throughout her team's eight games. Sullivan, the 5'9 PF, is currently averaging 12 PPG and 11.7 RPG in her efforts. This is a prospect that is controlling the paint with her mixture of motor, athletic ability, and knowledge of the art of rebounding. She might not be the tallest prospect but she works hard and that makes up for it within her production on both ends of the floor so far this Winter. If Sullivan keeps doing her thing, she will be a name we hear about multiple times before this Winter comes to a close.

When you are willing to sacrifice your body for the good of your team it's easy to tell. Players like this are the first on the floor, the first to communication back in transition, and they don't ask any questions. They just take direction and go to work. That's what we have here with [player_tooltip player_id='1556441' first='Ruby' last='Phelps'] of St. Mary's Storm Lake High School. Phelps has stepped up for 13 Charges this Winter so far throughout our first few games of the season. She has shown that she is willing to lay her body on the line multiple times a game and it's paid off. As you might imagine, this is the highest amount of Charges on the Winter. Last season the high for the Winter by one prospect throughout the state was 21 so Phelps is on pace to demolish that number. She just needs to keep on doing the same thing.

[player_tooltip player_id='582813' first='Ellie' last='Muller'] of Dowling Catholic has been the terror around the paint this Winter as the lead Blocker in the state. Muller even had a contest already this Winter with over 10 Blocks. If you know her game, this isn't anything surprising. This is exact the type of player that Mizzou wanted when she signed her. They want a next level defender that can meet anyone at the rim without fouling and that's what Muller is. Not to mention, she isn't bad offensively at all. She can post, use her size, and finish using angles with ease even when she is double teamed. Dowling Catholic is going to have another shot for a 5A Title this Winter if they play their cards right and Muller should be leading the way.
