This game was Game 1 that got things started and it did not disappoint. Perry seemed to get comfortable first as they were ablee to get Cedar Valley to mishandle the ball a bit and Perry was able to capitalize. They got into their trap but their man to man drfense was physical and it kind of made Perry get away from their offense. By the start of the 4th quarter we had a very tight game.

Standout Players

[player_tooltip player_id='796815' first='Hadley' last='Whiting'], Cedar Valley

Whiting was showing the whole arsenal out there this morning. She was hitting from deep in the catch-and-shoot. Whiting showed that she could put the ball on the floor out in the perimeter. With a few of those attack moves and her shooting, she was keeping defenders off balance. Whiting was scoring all over the floor, and then on the defensive end, she was rebounding, and the motor she was playing with was definitely next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='780442' first='Trinity' last='Jones'], Perry, (AZ)

The level of athleticism was immediately apparent the moment she stepped off the bench.
