[player_tooltip player_id='514527' first='Arianna' last='Walker'] set the tone in some big games last week, and the Bolles-Tocoi Creek matchup comes to mind. Walker played lock down defense and took the opposition out of their comfort zone. At times the player Walker covered didn't even look at the basket. Walker plays in-your-face defense and uses her quick feet and strength to prevent drives to the basket. Walker has the ability to block jump shots as well as defend in transition and block shots at the rim. She plays passing lanes well and gets multiple steals, giving her team extra possessions. Walker has posted respectable defensive stats in multiple areas and of her impact cannot be measured in just statistics.

[player_tooltip player_id='1035278' first='Presley' last='Brinkley'] had a breakout week last week making contributions in several offensive categories: Brinkley shot the three well, got to the rim in transition, and also got to the free-throw line for scoring opportunities. Brinkley scored 21 against Fleming Island and followed up with a 16 point effort against The Rock. Brinkley also pulled off her regular point guard duties and then a good job of controlling pace and running the offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='638560' first='Gianna' last='Crawford'] was impressive last week and set the tone for her team in wins and defeats. Crawford showcased guard like skills from the center and power forward positions. Crawford snagged 8 rebounds to go along with 16 points against Creekside. Many of the rebounds were grab and go's by the talented forward. Not many bigs can maneuver through defenses and lead the break. Crawford can also shoot the three point shot as well as creating shots in the mid-range and in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='514528' first='Katelyn' last='Barnett'] has made contributions all season long. Barnett spells both, the power forward and center positions. She brings physicality to the game and doesn't mind mixing it up. Barnett plays with Senior confidence and makes contributions where needed. Barnett pulled down 8 rebounds against Fleming Island and battled well against talented center [player_tooltip player_id='638560' first='Gianna' last='Crawford']. Barnett does occasionally put the ball in basket, but her calling card is on the defensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='823463' first='Presley' last='Norman'] continued to shoot the ball at an elite rate and solidified herself as one of the top shooters in the State of Florida. Norman drew the attention of the defense throughout the game, but every time the defense gave Norman space to shoot the perimeter jumper, she made them pay. Norman shot it off the catch and converted a few step back threes off of the dribble as well. Norman's smooth mechanics make her shot looks like money every time.

[player_tooltip player_id='527277' first='Cami' last='Waters'] has been a standout defender since the beginning of the season- more precisely- for her entire high school career. Waters scores in transition and on downhill consistently. Her bread and butter is her ability to defend multiple positions, and defensively to protect the rim. Waters scores primarily at the rim and also in the transition game, but also shoots the three effectively. On the defensive end, Waters plays the passing lanes well and has great timing on blocking shots. She leads her team in three point percentage making, steals, and blocked shots. The Senior guard played well all week long and stepped it up in the leadership department as well.
