Crawford demonstrated the versatility to score both in the paint and on the perimeter, connecting on several threes during the Battle on the Island. The powder forward has a soft shooting touch and displayed a complete scoring package—connecting on floaters, power moves, jumpers, mid-range pull-ups, and put-backs. Her offensive game is versatile and efficient- and she ‘s just a Sophomore. Crawford also rebounded the ball well, consistently creating second-chance opportunities and impacting the game beyond the box score.

Crawford showcased guard like skills from the center and power forward positions. Crawford snagged 8 rebounds to go along with 16 points against Creekside. Many of the rebounds were grab and go’s by the talented forward. Not many bigs can maneuver through defenses and lead the break. Crawford can also shoot the three point shot as well as creating shots in the mid-range and in the paint.

The Sophomore (yes, still in 10th grade), averaged 23.7 points per game and 11.3 rebounds. If a double-double average wasn’t impressive enough, Crawford averaged nearly 4 assists per game from the center position. The center is one of the most versatile prospects in her class. She blends power, IQ, and finesse and has the versatile skill-set to dominate in the paint and step out beyond the arc and score. Crawford made a statement and the First Coast had better be listening.

Crawford is as versatile as they come, with the basketball IQ to match. She’s proven she can bang inside as a 5, but she can also handle the ball in small stretches as the 1 — a rare skill set for a player her size. Offensively, she’s comfortable scoring on the block with “up-and-under shots,” bank shots, and baby hooks, and she can also step out and knock down shots from the perimeter. Crawford’s ability to rebound and then push the ball herself makes her dangerous in the transition game. Whether she’s anchoring the paint, spacing the floor, or initiating offense, Crawford gives any five a do-it-all forward/center who raises the ceiling of the group.

Gianna Crawford Gianna Crawford 6'1" | PF Fleming Island | 2028 State FL is a young power forward who has the ability to be one of the best power forwards- centers to come through this area in a while.  She combines power and skill and is one of the most versatile young players in the North Florida region.    She can score the ball in the paint with elite footwork, step out and hit the short jumper, or stretch the defense.   Her  ball handling skills on the perimeter and her three point shooting ability  create space and allows her teammates to get to the rim.   This past season, Crawford connected on 17 threes from the power forward position making her a legitimate threat from behind the arc. .   The young forward is also a play-maker from the power forward position.  She routinely slices up defenses with her ability to see the court and pass the ball accurately to cutting teammates.   Crawford is poised for a special camp at FABC.  She could see a major surge in her stock this summer.

The young baller showed her versatility with a few coast to coast plays off the rebound. Crawford has good handling ability and has the knack for “grabbing and going.” Crawford rebounded well, scored in the paint and outside of the paint as well. Crawford has soft hands, good footwork, and shoots a nice shot around the rim. she played well and played complimentary ball with her teammates. Crawford is a young player to keep your eye on throughout this travel season. she is a special young player.

Crawford is one of the most versatile centers on the first coast. Not only did she play center, but she also played forward and had some guard duties as well. Crawford stands out in the paint with good footwork and scoring skills. She can also step out and hit the jumper (the midrange and the three pointer). Crawford is a high IQ player who can create for herself and also create for her teammates. She does a good job of passing out to her perimeter shooters or drawing the defense and dumping it down to her forwards. Crawford is capable of dominating an opponent and could have a huge impact in the Districts.

Gianna Crawford Gianna Crawford 6'1" | PF Fleming Island | 2028 State FL is only a Freshman and plays with so much poise.   She played well in the middle and had a few nice plays on Championship Saturday.   Crawford displayed some nice up and under moves, executed some nice pivot moves, scored on a nice bank shot as the first half expired, and delivered a jump baby hook in the paint.  Crawford rebounded the ball well all game and kicked the ball out to her guards consistently. She even got  in on the action bringing it up the floor a few times herself.   The young Crawford is just that versatile.  The talented Freshman was selected to the all tournament team.
