Amidst the maelstrom of activity, there was plenty of developments going on with the recruiting trail. In addition, throughout late September and into October and November, there were a number of collegiate commitments that took place last month among the state's senior class.

The number of 2026s declaring where they will play for their college careers is rising – and it will only continue to rise between now and May. Without further ado, here are a few commitment announcements that were made recently.

It was at the beginning of last month when Leamon, star senior at 5A Division 1 Mauldin, declared that Morgan State – a Baltimore-based HBCU – would be where she would take her talents in the collegiate ranks. Signing day was on Nov. 19 when Leamon put pen to paper. Leamon's Mavericks have jumped out to an impressive start to their 2025-26 campaign. Mauldin has earned victories over SCISA 4A First Baptist and another 5A Division 1 school in Ridge View at the She Got Next Thanksgiving Classic. Leamon dropped 23 points in the win over the Hurricanes and 24 in the win over the Blazers. Mauldin is 3-0 as of this writing after a 63-40 win over 5A Division 2 Riverside. Leamon won a state championship with the Mavs two years ago at the USC-Aiken Convocation Center in a matchup against Stratford.

One more season remains for Asbelle at the high school level before the collegiate realm awaits her. It was in October when Asbelle declared she would be in the Division I ranks at UNC-Asheville of the Big South Conference. Asbelle has put together an illustrious career with Andrew Jackson – one that saw her be part of the nucleus of a pair of 2A state championship teams. She played in 31 games last season and averaged 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.6 steals per game. Those are certainly Division I numbers for someone with the Division I-level talent Asbelle possesses.

Speaking of top-tier prospects who have won a state championship, that distinction applies to Haroski who led her Riverside assembling to a 2023-24 4A state crown after a victory over A.C. Flora. Haroski announced in early November that she had committed to Middle Georgia State. The Knights, ironically, have similar purple and black colors as the [program_tooltip program_id='715412' first='SC' last='Eagles'] AAU uniform she wore on the Under Armour circuit during her AAU days. Haroski is playing her final season at 5A Division 2 Riverside with former Byrnes assistant Kevin Wyatt as head coach. The Warriors have earned victories so far this season over 4A Wren and 3A St. Joseph's Catholic.

Randolph, another skilled notable from the Upstate, will be remaining in-state as she draws closer to embarking on her collegiate odyssey. One of the featured names at 4A Westside, Randolph announced in mid-October that she will wear the blue and gold of Lander. Randolph was part of a Westside team that won last season's 4A Upper State championship. As of this writing, Randolph has helped her Rams team to a 4-0 start to its 2025-26 campaign. The Rams' lone victory over an in-state opponent was a rout of 3A Pendleton and Westside has picked up three victories over Georgia teams.

Pullman's basketball journey will pull her barely across the South Carolina-North Carolina state line following this season with 5A Division 1 Woodmont. She announced early in November that she committed to UNC-Pembroke. As of this writing, the Wildcats earned a blowout victory over 3A Carolina at the Lady Red Raider Thanksgiving Tournament not to mention a close loss against a Gaffney team that is one of the teams to beat in 5A Division 2. During her AAU career, Pullman had stints with Future Queens and [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars']. Pullman is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Wildcats so far this season.

A few days prior to National Signing Day last month, Richards made her decision on where she would play at the next level. Richards announced that she would be heading to Converse – an in-state school that plays at the Division 2 level. Converse's coach is Kevin Lyons who previously was an administrative assistant at South Carolina. Richards was offered by Converse in late October. Last season, Richards played in 24 games at 5A Division 1 Clover. As of this writing, Richards' Blue Eagles are 1-2 – but those two losses have come against two other top-tier 5A squads in Gaffney (Division 2) and Dorman (Division 1).

Over the previous several months, Williams fielded offers from Guilford College, LaGrange College, Lees-McRae and Roanoke College. Towards the end of September, Williams announced her commitment to Lees-McRae which extended an offer in her direction back in early August. She played her final season of AAU ball with Team Mack Elite 2026. Williams' 5A Division 2 Fort Mill group has played a North Carolina-centric schedule so far with three of its four contests as of this writing occurring against Hoop State foes. The Yellow Jackets' only game so far against a Palmetto State adversary resulted in a win – a 58-48 victory over 4A Dreher on Nov. 25. Williams' 1.4 blocks per game led last season's Yellow Jackets and she was second in assists for Fort Mill in 2024-25.
