2029 Rankings Debut: Top 5 Prospects

With over half a season of high school hoops in the books, the 2029 Player Rankings have officially made their debut for this Freshman class. Remember, these rankings reflect long-term potential as college prospects rather than just current high school production. This debut list could and should look much different over the next few years and will grow in size at each update. The postseason and upcoming travel ball season will be key as all of these players will compete in those top age groups (15U, 16U, 17U) where college coaches, media, and evaluators focus their attention. Here are the Top 5 Prospects in the 2029 class...for now:    Leila debuts as the No. 1 prospect in our rankings and is already a familiar name across the Sunshine State. She plays a competitive high school schedule and will move from the P24 circuit to the Nike EYBL circuit with Essence this summer. LB's ability to get to her spots, combined with her frame and versatility in the backcourt, sets her up to be one of the most recruited players in Florida throughout her career. This season, she is averaging 19.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. I expect her to go down as one of Brevard County's greats alongside names like Emma Risch and Jaida Civil.     Pippi has the skill and frame to remain at the top of this class for the long haul. Her versatility, fundamentals, and basketball IQ stand out, and she is already a household name in St. Lucie County. As a freshman, she leads her team in scoring at 16.7 points per game while adding 4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.1 steals. With each valuable rep she gains, her confidence continues to grow, cementing her status as one of the highest-ceiling players in the 2029 class.     AP debuts inside the top three despite working through an injury that will sideline her for an extended period. She is a nationally known name who has been on the radar for years with her explosive game. Her game is truly so dynamic and fueled by her speed, agility, and fearlessness. When she returns, expect her to make a strong push for the No. 1 spot.     Athiei is beginning to gain national attention as she makes waves this high school season in the Panhandle, making her status as a top-five prospect in the state no surprise. She is averaging a double-double with 27.6 points and 14.9 rebounds per game. Along with her 6.2 blocks per game, she's produced a truly impressive stat line. You simply can't teach height!     Kylee debuts in the Top 5 as a 2029 with an ideal frame and great length. She's a versatile guard that impacts both ends of the floor. Her game should translate to the next level as her strength and overall development continue to grow. Kylee is a high-upside talent in Central Florida with unlimited potential and has shown steady improvement each time I've see her.
