Checking In On Some Top Performers

Hinton is in the State conversation with their ranking right now, they just need to take care of business during the Playoffs. [player_tooltip player_id='524262' first='Sydney' last='Doeschot'], their PG in the lead, has been an anchor for this program this Winter so far. She has been taking care of her PG duties per usual and that's been helping her team in multiple facets within the game. she has been scoring at a high rate, she has bee facilitating for others at a steady pace, all while controlling pace of play when the ball is in her possession. It'll be interesting to see if Hinton pulls it together to make a run over the next month. So far this Winter Central Lee is sitting around .500 and Sandoval is leading their group as she averages a double-double in points-rebounds. She currently is scoring just under 19 PPG and she is rebounding just over 10 RPG. Two impressive numbers from a prospect undersized at their position. Hopefully this group can keep their momentum rolling to finish out the Winter. They sit with a 9-2 record throughout their first 11 games and their usual suspects are leading the pack. Someone that is really putting together another impressive season is [player_tooltip player_id='832197' first='Addy' last='Wolfswinkel'] at the CG spot. Wolfwinkel leads the team in PPG with 19.8 and she leads the team with APG with 3.5. She isn't their top dawg in rebounding as she has some teammates with noteworthy size and length under the hoop but that doesn't change the fact that she does attempt to crash the glass anytime plausible. CW has all the pieces to go really far before things are said and done this Winter. This group has some go-getters, Walker being included in that conversation and they like to play fast. Walker is currently one of the top producers on her team for her Senior campaign at the SG position. She is currently making a lot of production happen off the of the catch on the outside but she has also demonstrated that she can get anywhere on the floor with her dribble as well. Defensively, she is sticking with her matchup and causing mass panic in the full court for opposing teams with her tenacity down the court. All in all, Walker and this group should be proud as they sit at 10-4. Widel, the D2 Upper Iowa commit, has length, athletic ability, and some real skill in this game. Three things that show every night when she is out there competing. Maquoketa is one of the best teams in the state in their respective Class and Widel is the one that is leading the way. Her versatility as a three level scoring threat, while also being a mismatch nightmare on defense leads to notable production for her Class level and I don't expect that to slow down anytime soon. She can move all over the court and draw attention, along with a lot of success. We have seen it time and time again and I'm sure that will be the case all the way until she finishes out her high school career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
