Doeschot’s is going to be a natural at the D2 level in the near future. She is a PG that leads with pace of play, a smooth scoring ability, and a smart head on her shoulders. She has been a calm-killer for years now on both the high school and AAU floors, proving herself every time she laced up her kicks. Hinton is a team with a stacked roster but they would have been nothing without Doeschot’s running the show the past few years. She has been playing as their motor for a while now and that was the case this past week in DSM as they had some more success. In the end, they didn’t repeat as State Champs but that’s okay. They left it all on the floor and put up a respectable performance at the end of the day. Which is all you can really ask for.

of Hinton High School. Doeschot started things off slow in the first half as more of a facilitator but she followed that up with a monster 3rd and 4th quarter in the scoring column. Doeschot was doing it all from the PG position. She was getting to the bucket at Will off the bounce and finishing through contact in plethora of different ways, she was using her team’s pick and roll offense to get easy assists to her post players on the blocks, she was jumping the passing lanes on defense out of her team’s 3-2 zone for consistent disruption, and she was playing with a ton of confidence and energy overall. Rock Valley proved throughout this one that they were not going to go down without a fight. When that happened, this team looked to Doeschot or

down-low and both of those prospects delivered time-and-time again to lock in the victory when the final buzzer sounded.

. The 5’8″ guard was simply superb tonight in this primetime matchup, and earned my vote for Player of the Game. While her bread and butter is taking players 1on1 off the dribble, she showed composure with the ball down the stretch, range with her jumper, and leadership and she converted finish after finish in the fourth quarter to carry Hinton to victory. I think she’s the full package — her moves and counter moves with the ball combined with high-level communication makes her a must-have on the floor and one of my favorite players to watch so far this season. One of the best aspects of Doeschot’s game was her finishing package — every time she scored, it seemed like it was with a different move at the rim. If the rest of her season is anything like her performance last night, I’m predicting big post-season accolades for this senior.

Hinton High School might not be undefeated like many would have thought at this point in the season but they are in no way in a bad place. Hinton is in the State conversation with their ranking right now, they just need to take care of business during the Playoffs.

, their PG in the lead, has been an anchor for this program this Winter so far. She has been taking care of her PG duties per usual and that’s been helping her team in multiple facets within the game. she has been scoring at a high rate, she has bee facilitating for others at a steady pace, all while controlling pace of play when the ball is in her possession. It’ll be interesting to see if Hinton pulls it together to make a run over the next month. If they play their cards right and lock in, they should be just fine.

is off the board to D2 – Augustana out of South Dakota. Doeschot has been a D2 level player ever since she was a freshman in high school. Her smooth shooting stroke, her ability to handle and create for everyone around her, and her skill to make everyone else around her better has been noticeable for years now. Those are three things that many at this level do not possess. I think last Winter was the tell-tale sign that Doeschot was a born winner. She switched high schools, they lose their star athlete to kick off the season due to injury and they still run the table, go undefeated, bring home a 2A Championship, and Doeschot is the 2A State MVP. That run and resume speaks for itself. I can’t wait to see what she put together for one more go around these next eight months. No matter what it is, it should be fun to watch.

is a next level player. Plain and simple. She could go to a D2 and produce at a steady rate for her team’s future if given the opportunity. She does currently hold an offer from D2 – Auggie but it’s somewhat shocking that she doesn’t have more interest. Doeschot was solid all weekend long on the way to her team’s Gold Bracket Championship. She put up 10.3 PPG, going 30/50 from the field and 17/19 from the free throw line. Also put up 1.8 RPG too in her efforts this weekend. This 17U ETG has some special talent individually and I can’t wait to see how everyone’s future plays out at the next level.

The feel for the game that

possesses is second-to-none out on the floor. If you want a player that plays with poise, ambition, coordination, balanced, smarts, a soft touch, and most importantly – confidence, look no further than this one right here. When Doeschot goes, Hinton goes. That’s just how it works. She is the life force for her team in several ways and that’s pretty obvious. In her contest earlier today, Doeschot did a good job of keeping a balanced attack. Half the time she would score herself, half the time she would create for others while getting down hill, ending the possession in a crispy assist of some sort. All in all, this is a respectable day for a future D2 committed player.

. Doeschot received an inbounds pass off of a free throw make with about 5 seconds left. She took this pass all the way down the floor in a straight line, letting go of a deep three in transition for the game. Once this shot went in, Doeschot turned to her team to celebrate, pumping up everyone in the gym. This didn’t only win them team the game, it capped off an undefeated recorded of 20-0 with a conference championship, which only makes it sweeter. Games never come down to one play. No matter what anyone tells you but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a shot that Syd is going to remember for the rest of her life. Not to mention that she led the game in scoring with 18.

for her transfer at the beginning of the season and how she might be extremely impactful within her new team’s offense. Well so far, Doeschot has been eating up her competition in every aspect of the phrase. It seems like every time I check the stat book after a game night, she has almost 20-30 points with a ton of steals and assists. At the end of the day, the competition level that Doeschot is playing currently is a little weaker than she is used to during AAU season and that’s been obvious. Hinton has posted a solid record up to this point in the Winter. Next year when they get back Creighton Volleyball commit,

received her first D2 offer from Augustana in South Dakota. Doeschot has competed with Kingsley-Pierson High School out of Kingsley, Iowa but this Winter will be a little different. Doeschot has transferred to Hinton High School to finish off her high school career and she is going to bring a ton of skill and future possibilities to that program. Hinton already will have a force to deal with in the middle with Creighton Volleyball commit, Bailee Boeve. Now that they have a talented PG, they are going to beat a lot of teams over this next six months by some massive margins. I think this is also going to give Doeschot a little more confidence and in the end, more interest/offers. This team is going to be a sleeper to many that don’t understand their dynamic. If they hold their chips close and do things the right way with this transfer, the sky could be the limit.
