The undeniable scoring ability of [player_tooltip player_id='560333' first='Kendra' last='Boatman'] is going to continue to shine this Winter and into the college level once she gets there following this Senior season. Boatman has been killing it in the scoring department the past few months. She recently recorded a single game scoring record by posting a 40 ball in one of their crushing victories not too long ago. If you step back and look at Boatman and then you look at the competition her high school has to play against - you'll notice that she should do WORK against everyone that steps into their way. She is head and shoulders better than everyone else and I'm sure that is not going to change moving into the Playoffs so I can't wait to see what she puts together moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='839338' first='Rachel' last='Schany'] is the life force this Winter for Emmetsburg as they sit with an 11-1 record so far. Schany is a 5'11 Forward, that is currently averaging 23 PPG and 9.5 RPG throughout their first 12 games. This is not a small sample size. We are half way through this Winter and Schany has killed it in every contest so far. She has been working with her back to the basket and holding serve against everyone that tries to physically dominate her in any way. If other teams want to come in and win against this crew, they need to stop Schany in the middle to start. If not, it's going to be a long night as you can tell.

[player_tooltip player_id='1215769' first='Danika' last='Hoogendoorn'] knew she needed to step up coming into this Winter if they wanted Central Lyon to be a success and that is exactly what she has done. Hoogendoorn has been her team's #1 leader every step of the way so far this season, blazing them a trail to their success at the halfway point throughout the season. Name it and Hoogendoorn is doing it right now. She is being a first scoring option, a creator, a distributor, a rebounder, a defender, and a great all around teammate to those around her from the looks of it. You've heard the expression - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well Central Lyon shouldn't fix anything as of right now.

If you look at the efficient shooting numbers across the state, [player_tooltip player_id='561262' first='Reagan' last='Baldwin'] of Ankeny High School is leading everyone at an astonishing 74.9%. Baldwin is just making the most of what she is given. She is taking open shots, making them, and playing hard on defense in the best way she can. She might not be launching 7-10 three pointers a game but that's okay. She is being used as needed and she is making it work. If she keeps that up, it's only going to help Ankeny as they try to make a big run one the Playoffs begin here shortly.

You will never be able to knock [player_tooltip player_id='1091292' first='Kamryn' last='Fink'] and her high school career when you look back. Fink is only a Sophomore but when she is motivated and competing with confidence at the high school level, she is pretty darn good against her competition level. Fink literally does it all. She leads the state as one of the top scoring threats on the Winter, she is a top rebounding force under the bucket throughout the state, she is high in the regards of total assists, all while being someone that ALWAYS shows up in the steals department on the defensive side of things. If you look at Fink overall, there is a lot to like looking towards her future. If she keeps on doing her thing, she should start to get some college love before you know it.
