When there are almost a dozen seniors who will be playing on the next level next year competing on the same court in Memphis, I had to be there. Bartlett has 6 seniors that's already signed. Collierville has 2 that's signed and one committed. Collierville also has 2 juniors who are being recruited for the division 1 level.

I enjoy the details of a high level basketball game: The match ups; the defenses, the offenses, and the adjustments made. It's unfortunate that Collierville's leading scorer and Austin Peay signee, [player_tooltip player_id='1327088' first='Franziska' last='Kelly'], was not available for this game.

It was my second week in a row watching a Bartlett game. But that's OK because I only saw them once since November.

To give some history between Bartlett and Collierville. Last season, these 2 teams met 3 times. The first game was a 1 point game. The second game was a 3 point game. The third game was a 1 point game. I didn't get the opportunity to watch any of them. LOL

During a high level game, players may have to do some unexpected things due to how a team plays you defensively.

Attacking Guard. Jaliyah has come off the bench every game I have attended. Possibly tonight she was inserted into the starting lineup with her sister, Fran, being unavailable. She started the game with high energy, aggressiveness and the mindset to score the basket. She hit 2 of her first 3 shots. Something I don't mention a lot of is how she gives up her body. She probably averages at least 1 charge against her opponent per game. In this game, she created 2 charges.

Long & Athletic Forward. The SEMO signee is long and stands around 6'2. She can face up and score in the paint and beyond. But what stood out in this game was her rim protection. Because of her athleticism, she doesn't has to be directly in front of a player to block a shot.

High Energy Scoring Guard. When I first say Bartlett in November, they had a completely different starting line up and Amare was in it. The 2 games I have seen since she has come off the bench. When she enters the game, she is instant energy and offense. Most of her points was at the basket - either from a pull up, running the lanes in transition or attacking to the basket. She was pretty efficient tonight scoring.

Scoring Forward. Raeghan is a player who has shown some growth since I saw her in November. I noticed her in the last game and I had the opportunity to see more in this game. What I saw in this game compared to the last game is how vocal she is. She is young and telling upperclassmen where to go on the court. LOL. Not only that - She is a scoring option on the block. She is strong, gets good positioning sealing her man behind her and can drop step for a bucket.
