It's another holiday weekend with the Martin Luther King Jr holiday coming up on Monday. To honor his legacy, the MLK Holiday Classic brought together schools from across North Carolina and Virginia to compete against other programs that they won't typically see in their regular seasons. I was able to catch all eight games on day one of the event. Here's the second group of game changers that I saw from these competitions.

[player_tooltip player_id='640501' first='Sydney' last='Moore'] had some nice range with her shot, and she did well anticipating what her opponents are doing grabbing steals in transition. She was certainly on fire from deep hitting threes right when her team needed it, and her shots usually led to a timeout by the opposing team. She played tough attacking the basket and constantly moving to find the opening on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1243797' first='Samaria' last='King'] showed off her range starting off the scoring for her team, and she kept doing that throughout the game. She did well with her cuts constantly moving on offense to find the opening even getting the backdoor look. Her ability to crash the boards was apparent grabbing offensive rebounds for her own points.

[player_tooltip player_id='363332' first='Jniya' last='Weaver'] ran the floor well beating her opponents up the court, catching the pass, and scoring in transition. She scored through contact making three points the old fashioned way. On defense, she flies all over the court deflecting passes and making her opponents second guess their plan. Her defense certainly slowed the tempo for her opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='1309228' first='Sarata' last='Doumbia'] battled against anyone grabbing rebounds and going to work on the offensive glass. She elevates up and over her opponents with ease scoring her points. She does well communicating with her teammates on defense directing them where to go to make an impact.
