She is a sharp shooting guard who has scored an average of 7.8 points per game on 46.2% shooting and 35.3% from three. She is averaging 1.5 three-point makes per game. She recently signed to play college basketball in her hometown at Valley City State University. They are getting a solid guard who knows what it takes to win. Valley City currently sits at 4-1 on the year, good enough for a number 2 ranking in Class A basketball. Davies is playing a fast paced style and Carter fits in perfectly. She plays much bigger than her size and is able to compete against bigger opponents. She is a strong and athletic guard who does a lot of the dirty work required to win. She is averaging 7 points per game on 45.5% shooting and 58.3% from three. She has embraced her role as the enforcer and is tasked with defending opponent's best post players. She is listed at 5'9 but is fearless against posts in the 6'2 plus range. She did a good job of battling against Minot's [player_tooltip player_id='379041' first='Leelee' last='Bell'] and making things difficult for her. She fights for position and does a really good job of boxing out. She currently is averaging 6.4 points per game, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals. She is making over one three per game and is shooting 54.5% from the field and 54.5% from three. Akealyes is a big reason to their early season success. The 5'9 combo guard is a two-way threat, effective on both sides of the floor. She is a an athletic player who is able to get up the floor in transition. She is one of four girls on her team averaging double-figures, currently sitting at 11.3 points per game. She has 10 made three-pointers on the season and is shooting it at 36%, a fantastic percentage. Their only two losses are by single digits, one to Class A's Hazen and the other Park River, a solid Class B team. Obering is her team's primary ball-handler and does a good job of finding her teammates with on-target passes. She is also a scoring threat, having averaged double-figures the last few seasons. Her three-point shooting is key to Washburn's success. Ariana has played really well in her expanded role. She plays extremely hard and is one of the toughest players on the floor, despite her 5'2 frame. She gets into opponents and turns them defensively. She doesn't force shots and is effective when she does choose to shoot.
