These young floor leaders are reading defenses, valuing possessions, and making plays that keep their teams organized and competitive. Whether it's finding open teammates, attacking the right gaps, or controlling tempo late in games, this next wave of guards is proving that age doesn't limit basketball IQ.    Kaiah has opened her sophomore season with energy and impact for Macomb Dakota, quickly establishing herself as a problem for opponents on both ends of the floor. She brings constant pressure defensively, using quick hands and anticipation to force turnovers and turn defense into offense. On the other end, Kaiah shows confidence from long range and the awareness to move the ball to open teammates, making her a well-rounded guard who influences the game in multiple ways.     Addison has been a steady catalyst in Rockford's strong 5–1 start, making her presence felt early in her sophomore season. The young point guard shows advanced feel for the game, calmly directing the offense and consistently putting teammates in scoring positions with sharp, timely passes. She's a legitimate scoring threat as well, knocking down open shots from the perimeter and attacking the basket to finish through traffic. Defensively, her length allows her to disrupt passing lanes and bother ball-handlers, rounding out a polished, beyond-her-years impact at both ends of the floor.     Alexis has been a major piece in Mt. Pleasant's unbeaten 5–0 start, making a strong statement early in her sophomore season. The skilled guard demands constant attention on the perimeter, where she's been consistently punishing defenses with her shooting range in the opening stretch. Beyond her scoring touch, Alexis shows a good feel for the game, moving the ball well to set up teammates and crashing the glass to extend possessions. Her ability to contribute in multiple areas has helped set the tone for Mt. Pleasant's fast start and makes her a tough matchup every night.     Evelyn made an immediate statement in her first varsity action for Detroit Country Day before being sidelined by a hand injury early in her freshman season. The long, versatile guard showed she can score at all three levels, using her length and skill to finish inside, hit shots from the perimeter, and make plays in between. She also impacted the game in other ways, rebounding at a high rate for a guard and showing strong court awareness as a passer. Defensively, Evelyn used her size and instincts to disrupt passing lanes, challenge shots, and record blocks, making it clear she can be a difference-maker on both ends when she returns.     Saamyia has wasted no time making her presence felt in the East Kentwood lineup, getting her freshman season off to a strong start as the Falcons sit at 3–2. The guard has shown a well-rounded game, contributing in multiple ways each night rather than relying on just one skill. She's proven she can stretch the floor with her shooting from beyond the arc, while also setting the tone defensively with tough, disruptive pressure. Add in her ability to read the floor and make the right play for teammates, and Saamyia has already established herself as a dependable piece for East Kentwood early in her high school career.
