MHSAA Tourney Preview: District 77

Teams from four divisions will compete for 128 district titles across two peninsulas, and only one team from each district will add a trophy to their case. District previews will be released in the weeks leading up to the state MHSAA tournament to provide all-access insight into the teams and prospects that make up select districts. Hackett Catholic Prep finished second in the conference at 8-2, splitting wins with Schoolcraft and Kalamazoo Christian. As the host featuring the top-rated prospect in the district, they'll be extremely tough to beat. Lawton tied for third in the SACV at 5-5, losing to Kalamazoo Christian and Hackett Catholic Prep twice, while splitting wins with Constantine. The Blue Devils feature a top guard in the 2029 class, and after losing by one possession to Kalamazoo Christian and Hackett Catholic Prep in their last meetings, Lawton has the potential to play spoiler.
