North Carolina 7A: The Standard Setters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are coming down the home stretch of the season here in North Carolina which means playoffs and seeding are right around the corner.  It's the first year we will see 8 champions with the new 8A classification.  For today, though, I'm diving into some of the top contributors in the 7A classification.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block bit of everything for her team.  She hits some big shots around the perimeter, and she knows how to battle against her opponents to score off the dribble pulling up quickly to knock down the jumper.  She has a way of reading the floor even while running full speed up the court creating the open lane to attack the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- phenomenal year from hitting the game winning bucket in the state championship game to committing to play at the next level to now being one of the leaders for her team in points, rebounds, and steals.  She's explosive on both ends of the court being able to jump in front of passing lanes on defense to grab steals and attack the gaps getting the pass as she quickly cuts to the basket.  She can handle the ball under pressure no matter what her opponents try to throw at her.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block sensational athlete for years being able to handle business on the court.  She uses her great footwork in the paint to get into position and score some points off the glass.  She sees the floor well pushing the tempo hitting her teammates in stride as they get a fast break going.  Her length is definitely an asset blocking shots and grabbing rebounds.  She does well working around the perimeter knocking down shots from deep.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block levels whenever she gets on the court.  She gets to the rim to score battling through contact even making old fashioned three point plays.  On the other end, she's a tough defender handling the on ball assignment with ease making sure her opponents can't get past her, and she knows how to slide into the right position off the ball helping her teammates protect the rim when needed.</p> <!--
