WCAC Process of Elimination

The brutal WCAC playoffs are in full swing and unfortunately someone has to lose. In a single elimination, once you've lost, you're done. Some really good performers did not advance, here are a few that had an early exit.    Alice was clicking on all cylinders in each round of the playoffs before the Panthers fell short to Bishop McNamara. She scored 16 points against Good Counsel going a perfect 8 for 8 from the line. She navigated the ball coast to coast in traffic and executes a very convincing pump fake that allowed her to get past her defender. She scored 10 points in the semi final loss to Bishop McNamara and showed her range from beyond the arc.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2026/02/5I5A4901.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1774196" /></figure>     Despite the Tartans being outmatched by St. John's College, Kennedy's showed the effort to keep competing. She knocked down a couple of three pointers and continued to attack and get to the line where she knocked down her free throws. She's only a freshman but is demonstrating the mindset of a leader.     Cecilia got the majority of her time when the game was out of hand during the blowout win against Holy Cross. She made the most of it showing her ability to drive to the basket and get to the line where she makes her free throws. She showed a nice mid range shot off the dribble. Her play earned her more time in the semi-final loss where she was a solid contributor. She has nice size a looks to be a key piece in the Cadets future plans.     Anaiah is a high school freshman with the frame f a college freshman. She may not stand out right now in the box scores but she contributes in effort and defense. She has a good looking pull-up jumper and the ability to rebound in traffic. She has the versatility to contribute both in the wing and post.     Elizabeth Seton needed points as they fell behind early and Alyna provided by way of the three pointer. She launched one at the buzzer to cut the lead and another to start the second half.
