Friday night was about one thing: survive and advance. Region Finals tipped across the state with a trip to Jacksonville and the first-ever state tournament at UNF on the line. The margin for error? Gone. The stakes? Crystal clear.

When the dust settled, the numbers once again told a compelling story — but with a few twists that will make next week in Jax must-watch basketball.

Top seeds went 24–4 in the Region Finals. Three losses came to 2-seeds. One came to a 6-seed.

That 6-seed? Bartram Trail.

While most classifications followed the script, 6A once again refused to cooperate.

Classes 3A, 4A, 5A, and 7A will bring all 1-seeds to Jacksonville — a testament to how strong seeding, home court, and regular-season scheduling continue to matter this time of year.

But the few upsets that did occur? They reshaped entire brackets.

All four 1-seeds are headed to Jacksonville, creating arguably the strongest and most balanced Final Four in any classification.

They'll tip March 13, and there's no weak link in this field. Every team has proven consistency, depth, and the ability to close. This feels like a bracket where any of the four could realistically cut down the nets.

Once again, 6A delivers drama.

6-seed Bartram Trail stunned a 1-seed in their own region with a three-point road win to punch their ticket to state. They'll now face another non-1-seed, Bayside, on March 12 — meaning one side of the bracket guarantees a fresh storyline in the championship game.

On the other half:

6A has been the classification most willing to ignore expectations all postseason — and it continues to be the wild card bracket in Jacksonville with STA coming in as the heavy favorite.

The 1-seeds handled business.

They'll take the floor March 11. Balance, depth, and experience define this group. No Cinderella here — just four teams that earned their path.

Another classification where all 1-seeds move on:

March 10 should feature high-level basketball. This bracket feels methodical and wide open despite the chalk.

All four 1-seeds advanced again.

March 9 will showcase one of the deepest classifications in the state. Multiple region finals felt like state-semifinal caliber games — and that level continues in Jacksonville.

Three 1-seeds cruised, each winning by 30+ points.

But San Jose Prep spoiled the sweep, winning their region and earning a short trip to UNF in their own backyard.

March 6 sets up a fascinating mix of dominance and opportunity with Miami Country Day entering the week as the favorite.

Three 1-seeds advanced, but 2-seed NFEI out of the Jacksonville region joins the field and will make the short trip to UNF.

March 5 opens the tournament with high-level guard play and plenty of offensive firepower.

South Florida once again leads the way with 9 teams in Jacksonville.
