As the season winds down, the games are becoming more intense and more meaningful. Several standouts have contributed to their teams' performances.

Here, I take a look at some of the unsung heroes who helped their teams to victories this week

The junior combo guard put together a very solid all-around performance. Hammer knocked down shots when given space and was comfortable putting the ball on the deck to create her own offense. What really stood out was her activity on the defensive end—quick hands, multiple steals, and constant pressure that forced bad passes. She impacted the game on both sides of the ball and did a lot of the little things that don't always show up in the box score.

This was my first look at Schaunaman, and she made a strong impression. She's a physical presence on the glass with good hands and showed solid footwork in the post. What separated her was her versatility—she stepped out and confidently knocked down the perimeter jumper. Kynzi handled the dirty work and played within herself, making key contributions that helped the Falcons secure the win

Jones was the energizer bunny out there, affecting the game well beyond scoring. While she did shoot the ball effectively, her biggest impact came on the defensive end. She consistently contested and altered shots and used her athleticism to be a factor on the boards. Her motor never stopped, and her activity level changed the tone of the game for Perry.

The senior combo guard is quiet, but her game spoke loudly. Alvarado-Tellez played a composed, high-IQ floor game and shot the ball extremely well against a tough Campo Verde defense. She never looked rattled, stayed within the flow of the offense, and showed strong leadership and poise. A steady presence who delivered when the lights were on.

Hoar may fly under the radar, but her value to the Pumas was clear. The senior guard controlled the floor, showed strong leadership, and consistently made the right reads. Her passing stood out—multiple sharp assists that put teammates in position for easy, quality looks. Riley proved she's a player who will have a real impact for Perry as postseason play approaches.

As the season winds down, the games are becoming more intense and more meaningful. Several standouts have contributed to their teams' performances.
