Hampton had a sensational sophomore season where she earned Offensive Player of the Year in a very talented 4A Kino Region. She was also named to the 4A All Conference First Team. She averaged 17.6 points, 1.2 assists, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per games. Hamptons physicality in the paint and effective rebounding ability allowed her to account for eleven double doubles this season accounting for 228 total rebounds this season. She showed off a three ball from well beyond the arc and has developed a strong handle on the ball. Hampton continues to show shes arguably the top 2028 prospect in Southern Arizona.

Jordan has elevated her game tremendously over the last year. She has developed a good handle on the ball which she uses to confidently drive the lane and score with a quick floater or finish through contact with a layup. She has good footwork in the post and will face up and knock down the contested mid range. Can space the floor well with her three ball. Jordan was vital to the success for the Tigers this past season averaging 7.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per game helping her earn Second Team 6A South Region. Jordan will be a household name for the Tigers the next couple years.

Lual is the top center in the 2028 Southern Arizona class and will make a case as the top in the state. Lual averaged 8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1 steal and 2.7 blocks per game for the Lancers. She had 10+ rebounds in 20 games this season including a season high 20 rebounds against Mesquite. Her height and lengthy wingspan gives her a great advantage and her IQ and skill just separate her that much more from everyone else. Lual finished the year with 84 blocks and a season high 8 against Catalina Foothills. She is tremendous in the pick and roll. Her skill in the post allows her to beat her defender in many ways. Lual will continue to gather the attention of college coaches. Expect to read a lot about Lual the next couple years.

Meyer is one of the top shooters in the Arizona 2028 class. She has a very quick trigger off the catch that allowed her to knock down 75 three pointers this season including a career high 10 made threes against Pueblo. She has a very skilled handle and great speed. Sees the floor at a high level and makes greats passes to the open look. Solid defensive player who quickly picks up in transition and pressures her opponents the length of the court. Meyer has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the court at a high level. Her effort helped her earn First Team 5A Sonoran Region.

Munoz is one of the top two way players in the Southern Arizona 2028 class. She has a very high defensive IQ and good speed to go with it. Her on ball defense is top notch, applying pressure the length of the court forcing turnovers and accounting for many steals. She ranked 18th in the state with 5.7 steals per game and had a season high 11 steals vs Rio Rico. Munoz attacks the basket with confidence scoring very well through contact. She sees the court very well and makes great plays. She averaged 3.3 assists and had a season high of 9 assists against Mountain View. She can shoot the ball very well. Just a talented overall guard. She was selected to First Team 5A Southern Region.

Chavis had a stellar sophomore year for the Sahuaro Cougars. A skilled guard with good speed and great footwork. Chavis plays physical and rebounds exceptionally well by out hustling her opponents. Plain and simple she wants it more. Her high defensive IQ and speed allows her to make great reads and reacts on them quickly resulting in 79 steals this season. She has a good three point shot and she'll also score with a pump fake dribble move in to a high percentage mid range jumper. A top two way guard in the 2028 class was impressive in the few times I was able to watch Sahuaro this past season. She finished the season with 11.2 points, 2.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.

Berg showed great confidence this season running the offense for the Thunderbolts. The sophomore guard showed composure and great vision this season. Berg did a great job controlling the pace of the game. She was able to get to the paint and did well making passes through traffic. Allowed plays to develop and handled pressure well. Berg continues to develop her game at a good pace staying above most in her class. She averaged 6.6 points, 2.4 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. I expect Berg to truly breakout this upcoming season where her production numbers could double.

The sophomore guard was selected to the 6A South Region First Team in what was a very talented region. Contreras was a vital piece for the Badgers offense this season finishing second on the team for scoring and leading with assists. She handled the ball pressure very well this year. Didn't get rushed and allowed the offense to develop. Plays very well in the pick and roll. Took charges and made some great plays in clutch time in a couple games I attended this season. A much bigger role will be expected of Contreras this next season. Based on what we've seen shes ready to take on the role.
