[player_tooltip player_id='582808' first='Bailey' last='Boeve'] isn't the 100th best prospect out of the 2026 Class. She is someone that should be ranked much, much higher but due to injury the past few years, that's kept her off of the hardwood a decent amount of the time. Boeve, the 6'0 PF, is a D1 level Volleyball commit for a reason. She is uber athletic at her size, she is coordinated with good touch, she has impressive footwork near the hoop, and she is smart when it comes to the X's and O's. We might not be able to see Boeve on a Bball court again but she is going to thrive with the Creighton Bluejays as a Volleyball star in state that LOVES that sport moving forward. She demonstrated during her high school career that she is a fierce competitor, who is willing to leave it all out on the floor for her squad and that's something that is going to stick with her at the next level.

Most people counted out Earlham from the 2A Class this Winter but they shouldn't have. Earlham was a team that gave powerhouse Hinton a run for their money in their Regional Championship. A major reason for that team doing so well was their next level commits. Players like [player_tooltip player_id='1245076' first='Darby' last='Moore']. Moore would be considered an undersized SF/CG. She moves around enough to be considered a CG but she can also punish someone smaller down by the blocks when she has the height advantage. Moore beings high energy and some intense vibes when she competes. She keeps things loose but she is always amped up and always looking to make a play with her energy. I'll tell you who is the real winner in all of this. The Cornell Rams. That program has gotten some real pieces to commit to them moving into this next season so it'll be fun to see how everything pans out.

There were not many players at State in ANY Class that only competed for one game and they still made the Classes All State Team at the end of the week but [player_tooltip player_id='1169117' first='Jacey' last='Johnston'] of Saint Ansgar was one of those individuals. Johnston was dominant as a Forward this Winter. Every game she competed in, she put up respectable numbers near the middle of the lane as a scoring threat and rebounder on both sides of the ball. She also was someone that played solid defense overall, controlling the lane for her team whenever plausible with her communication, physicality, and foresight. Johnston helped her team get to DSM and then she put up a double-double in points-rebounds. This just shows everyone a glimpse of what Johnston was about this Winter. Numbers like these were common and that only happens inside the paint when you have a next level competitor on your hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='609458' first='Emmi' last='Bartolo'] really showed out her last week of the season on the State's biggest state as her team's leading SG. Bartolo stepped up time and time again to him big shots or make big plays for her BG team throughout the week. Honestly, that's been the case her whole career. We have seen Bartolo hit shots that matter ever since she was a Freshman so it's nice to see that she finished things out with a bang when it mattered the most as of late. Bartolo knows the game of Basketball to a T. She is only going to continue to get better as she continues to play at the next level. With the right guidance and within the right system, who knows how good she could become over the next couple of seasons if she sticks with it into adulthood.
